Good location, but room not so comfortable

Posted 29-Jul-2015
This was a decent hotel in regards to location, cleanliness, staff, and an airconditioned room. It was not so comfortable as the bathroom was very small with an awkward bidet sitting right in front of the sink. The room was very small and the television did not work as well.

Tolle zentrale Lage...trotzdem schön ruhig

Sehr netter Empfang, gut organisierte Abläufe. Das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse üppig. Tolle Lage.

Perfekt placeret, hyggeligt lille hotel

Posted 26-Jul-2015
Pros: Den perfekte placering.

Really nice

Posted 24-Jul-2015
I stayed here for three comfortable nights and the whole experience left little to be desired. The hotel is located in the Sestiere San Marco, a short walk from either Piazza San Marco or the Accademia. The easiest approach is from the Giglio vaporetto stop but make sure you get directions as the HD is quite hard to find. Key features - helpful staff, reliable lift and air conditioning, free Wi Fi and breakfast.

Lovely, peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Venice

Posted 22-Jul-2015
The hotel is down a small alley which ends with a modest jetty on the Grand Canal, so it is not a pedestrian cut-through, and is only 5 minutes walk from the Accademia Bridge. So although it is right in the middle of Venice it is tucked away from the crowds and noise of the city. The hotel staff are polite, friendly and very welcoming but don't overwhelm in the way some hotel employees can. Our room was on the front of the building and is the one shown on the cover or the map given to us on check-in! It was very elegantly designed in a Venetian deco style and although there were a few minor pieces of superficial damage it didn't detract from the feeling we were in a much more expensive hotel (last time we came to Venice we stayed at the Danieli and our room at the Dragomanni was much nicer!). The breakfast was the only slight let down. It was a very basic buffet of the kind most Italian hotels seem to serve and the only reason we were disappointed was that the three star hotel we had just come from in Verona had provided a much better breakfast buffet. That said with the vast range of restaurants in Venice I couldn't have eaten a huge breakfast every day! Next time I go to Venice the Hotel Dei Dragomanni will be my hotel of choice!

Perfect location - both the sights and restaurants

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff.
Cons: N/A
Location: St Marks square is a short walk, including the Bell Tower, Basillica, Little Clock Tower, the main museum. There is an abundance of restaurants nearby
Really pleased with this hotel. Excellent location, minutes from St Marks square, the grand canal is literally at the end of the street, with a pier to watch the sun go down on. Lots of restaurants and sights nearby. Professional, friendly staff. Lovely clean and inviting rooms. Excellent spread for breakfast. Our room did not have a view of a canal, however it was very quiet and clean with a fantastic shower. Cannot fault it.

great hotel in good location

Posted 18-Jul-2015
Cons: Signs at top of street and over doir
Location: Close to San Marco square and realto bridge, nice area for bars and eating.
Lovely hotel in good location. Room was a bit small but nicely furnished, comfortable and clean with air conditioning which was needed as 41 degrees when we visited. Staff extremely helpful and breakfast was plentiful and pleasant dining room. Only downside was it was very difficult to find on Rriving from water bus as only given San Marco number and no signs over door or at top of long narrow street where it was situated. Once found however it was quite easy to locate. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
