“Will stay there next time”
In an ideal location for seeing all that Venice has to offer, this hotel has style and comfort. It is peaceful and friendly and breakfast is excellent. Couldn't fault it.
“Ideal for a short stay”
A lovely small hotel which seems to be a couple of buildings knocked together. Location is very useful - down a small, quiet alley, but only a couple of minutes walk from the Giglio vaporetto stop and the Accademia bridge -so easy to get around, and close to most of the major sights. Our room was compact (but no smaller than usual for Venice) - but you don't come to Venice to sit in your hotel! (Some rooms are advertised as having a Grand Canal view - but as far as I could work out, the hotel does not front onto the canal, so you would be looking over the top of the adjacent building.) The bed was very comfortable, with lovely linen, and everything seemed to work fine. Breakfast was a cold buffet - cheese, ham, eggs, cereals, cakes, fruit, etc, with tea & coffee made to order. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the only downside is the internet wi-fi (which I gather is a system shared by several other Venice hotels) is slow and unreliable. Comparable to many of the other small 4* hotels we have used in Venice, and we'd happily stay there again.
“Fabulous Venice”
This was an excellent hotel. Difficult to find the first time - it is about a ten minute walk west from St Mark's Square. Get directions from the hotel's website. The hotel were great and very helpful with recommendations. Bed was really comfy and really big. We travelled on the Vaperatto (waterbus) everywhere. It is so beautiful.
“Venice”
After two weeks in Croatia - we decided to spend a couple of days in Venice - sticker shock to say the least. Hotels in Venice are very expensive and this hotel was no differenct - but comparatively not so much. Well located down an alley that made it quiet at night but extremely close to everything that Venice offers. People friendly and they were very good about wake up calls and arranging water taxi for 4AM to catch a plane.
“Fantastic!!!”
Our stay at the Hotel Dei Dragomani was wonderful. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in and they took us directly to our room. We had a family room-our two teenage daughters were with us-and it was beautiful. When you walked into the room there was a king size bed and a bath(I was a little worried at first as I had asked for a room for 4) and on the left there were french doors that opened onto another smaller room with its own bath. For the price, this was more than we expected! The hotel staff was extremely helpful. We had already picked out a place for dinner and they called and made the reservations for us. They recommended two restaurants that were wonderful also. There continental breakfast was quite a spread with pastries, lots of different fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, yogurt and more. The location was perfect. Just steps from the grand canal and within 5 minutes walk of St. Marks Square, The Rialto Bridge and everything else. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Great Hotel!”
My wife and our two teenage kids really enjoyed staying at this boutique hotel. It's a very charming hotel that is reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is located close to St. Marks Square and all the great shopping and dining areas. The hotel is on a quiet street that ends at the Grand Canal. Needless to say, getting a water taxi to the airport was very conveninent! The rooms were clean and nicely appointed in hotel chic style. The hotel also provides a nice continental breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel!
“Stunning”
We stayed at Hotel Dei Dragomanni in July, I had been wanting to visit Venice for years and it did not disappoint, amazing, its like another world. Had heard all the stories about it being smelly and too hot, neither were true, it was lovely and warm and I think we noticed a slight smell once. I think some people just moan about every little thing. We had an amzing time. No its not cheap but there are things u can do to save money, eg we were there two nights so we had a nice meal in a restaurant one night and a cheap one the next. We did have a coffee in St Marks square which is very expensive, they charged us 6euro each just to sit down, but we figured we'd only ever do it the once so what the hell. We did skip the gondola's as we weren't that worried and they were 100euro for half an hour. The hotel was really lovely, the staff very helpful and friendly. It says its a minute or 2 from the canal which is only partly true, there is a canal section just at the end of the street but u can't walk along that part, its about a ten min walk to the parts you want to get to. This didnt bother us though and actually when we saw how busy it was in the main ares we were glad we were a little of the track, much quieter at night. Would def recommend to anyone. Its a great place to see and I would go back tmrw.
“Great location in Venice”
The hotel is in a very central location and we were able to walk everywhere. The rooms are clean and well presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We were disappointed to have to pay for wifi. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
“Venice's little hideaway”
Nice place with great service. A bit off the beaten path, so have exact directions. My suggestion would be to take a water taxi right from the airport directly to the hotel. It's a bit pricey but worth the stress of lugging around luggage while wandering through the streets and bridges of Venice. Besides that, the hotel was very nice, decent breakfast, quiet and private location, and fantasic staff! Now that I know the way, I would stay there on my next visit!
“Very Comfortable and Convenient”
This is a very cosy little hotel very close to San Marcos, Academia and Rialto Bridges. The Reception Staff are very friendly and helpful. The bedroom is a good size with a comfy bed. Bathroom is a good size with a decent separate shower.

The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
