Location: off the main strip, stores and restaurants within 5 minutes
Incredibly upset at the hospitality here. To start off, i emailed them before I arrived and never received a response... At check-in, we couldnt go straight to our room, they wouldn't give us the key without an escort, ok fine. He also brought us to our room without giving us our passports back and left them sitting on the counter unattended... We paid for a junior suite for two nights and they claimed they were giving us a "free upgrade" so they gave us the suite with canal view. The suite was lovely, the balcony over the canal was stunning. The bathroom was updated but tiny. After breakfast we had to waste our time and pack up our belongings so that they can move us to a DIFFERENT room. This meant that we could not lock up our passports, money, other personal belongings in the safe because we wouldnt be there when we got back! We are then given our second room... The bathroom is lovely, they claim the biggest in the hotel with a huge tub (and sign that says dont splash out of the tub because it will leak) and theres a staircase... for what you ask...? to go upstairs to the bed! Now this may seem interesting....almost house like however after a long day of walking around, then climbing the stairs of the hotel, you do not want to climb another set of stairs (open stairs without a handrail) to get up to your bedroom. Really disappointing stay here, wasteful of time and energy, all because they overbooked...

Pros: Très bien placé et personnel accueillant et chaleureux
Cons: petite salle à déjeuner
Location: Très bien placé tout est accessible à pied
Hôtel très bien situé mais mauvaise expérience après 2 nuit passées dans une super chambre le personnel nous demande si nous voulons la suite lune de miel pour le même prix. Mais quand nous rentrons le soir en demandant la clef de notre nouvelle chambre quelle surprise en découvrant la suite lune de miel toute petite , lugubre et mauvaise odeur Nous disons que nous ne dormirons pas là cette nuit et après 1 heure de négociation on nous donne une autre chambre plus petite que la première mais nous y passerons les 2 autres nuits Raison invoquée une grande famille avait besoin de notre grande chambre mais le lendemain matin nous avons vu la grande famille au petit déjeunée un couple de personnes âgés.

Pros: Her sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Herr Tilly von der Reception - ist die Seele vom Haus
Cons: Standartzimmer eng +sehr dunkel -(Kleine Fenste)r- aber sehr sauber für ein paar Tage geht es
Location: in Cannereggio und in 15 Min . mitten unter allen Touristen und Sehenswürdigkeiten Bahnhof in der Nähe Vaporetto in der Nähe
Abseits vom Touristenrummel und doch nah zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Schiffanlegestelle nach Murano/ Burano in der Nähe

Booked this room via "Mystery Hotel" Don't!

Pros: Location was fine.
Cons: Don't advertise as a five star "Mystery Hotel" if when the client arrives they are given a "Budget" 2 star room. That is deception.
Location: Near the Grand Canal but close to real local restaurants and a bit away from the tourist area.
Booked via Expedia "Mystery Hotel" deal. Room was very small. Room 101! Behind the managers desk area could here people enquiring at the desk all the time. Appeared to be a staff room converted for disabled persons. Might have trouble fitting some wheel chairs in here. Aircon was "off". Toilet washer tap leaked badly when used. Exhaust fan did not work. Black marks all over the walls. Two star standard at best. Complaints to manager fell on deaf ears. He had heard it all before and did not want to know. Said; "You only paid for budget room not five star" This is a bit of a 'con' by the Hotel to get punters into sub-standard rooms. You should get five star if you book five star! Don't even look at room 101! No more 'mystery hotels' for me thanks Expedia..... And while your at it fix the directions to this joint on your web site. They are not even close!

Dieses Hotel hat keine Sterne verdient!

Economy Doppelzimmer gebucht und bei Expedia.de sahen die Fotos auch ansprechend aus. Vor Ort haben wir leider was ganz anderes vorgefunden.... Ein winziges Zimmer mit einem 1,10m breiten Bett und nur einer Bettdecke. Nach Reklamation das das wohl ein Missverständnis sein muss, da wir ein Doppelzimmer gebucht hatten , wurde uns erklärt das dies ein Economy Doppelzimmer sei. Wir dachten: ok werden wir schon überleben da wir dort eh nur zum schlafen sein werden. Leider konnten wir nachts überhaupt nicht schlafen da es viel viel zu eng und klein war für zwei Personen. Von einem 4 Sterne Hotel hatten wir anderes erwartet. Klar ist das Venedig und nicht Deutschland aber das war echt unter aller sau. Dazu kam noch das zwei Lampen nicht funktionierten , eine schranktüre sich nicht öffnen lies da diese verzogen war , eine schiebe Türe von der Dusche lose war und man Angst haben müsste das diese auf einen kippt beim duschen. Von den Wänden blätterte sogar der Putz ab!!! Meine Freundin und Ich sind wirklich keine pingeligen Leute aber das Geld hätten wir uns auch sparen können und ein 2 Sterne Hotel buchen können , Denn tiefer kann man echt nicht sinken. Zum Frühstück bekam man aufbackbrötchen die pampig und alt schmeckten ..... Als Aufschnitt gab es nur Salami und Käse..... Selbst das 2 Sterne Hotel auf Malle hatte um einiges mehr Qualität als dieses 4 Sterne Hotel .... Toilettenpapier wurde auch nicht nachgelegt Das mussten wir an der Rezeption selbst holen. tolle 4 Sterne !!!!

The hotel was easy to find. It was also in a nice quite area with nice little restaurants and easy walking distance to everything. Upgraded to canal view with balcony which was excellent and the staff were very helpful in giving advise on what to do and were to go. Breakfast was very good for a continental, everything nice and fresh.

Wir waren zufrieden, auch wenn es zunächst eine "Panne" im Hotel wegen der Zimmer gab. Das wurde dann aber schnell und charmant gelöst und wir wurden selbstverständlich entschädigt und durften die zweite Nacht in der Junior Suite Superieur verbringen.

Pros: Sr. Tilli. He is certainly a great asset to the hotel. He goes above and beyond a 'staff' member. He is a friend.
Cons: Iur travels took us to five different hotels in 10 days from Venice to Sorrento. It appears that most European hotel beds are relatively hard.
Location: This hotel is NOT on a main piazza or traffic area. It is quiet, can be accessed from the waters edge or bridge. BUT it is central to all.
This hotel is located several bridges from the entry train termini to Venice but well worth the trip. Sr. Tilli is the Lord of the Manor and makes you feel very special to be there. He makes the best Cappuccino in all of Italia and serves it with warmth and many smiles. Although the breakfast selection is smaller than some, it is nicely arranged. Mr. Tilli will advise as to Restaurants, special fares to water taxi, how to get around the island and any side trips to Murano. The rooms are small but well appointed and very clean. Paradise Perduto Restaurante was recommended and lived up to its reputation. Delicious seafood, pasta made next to the entry door by one of the staff, and Italian music provided by local accordian players. Santa Maria Assunto should not be missed for its blueandwhite Italian marble interior. Venice is also heraded as THE celebratory Mardi Gras with many mask shops showing masks with ten inch feather accoutrament and every color, design you can imagine.
