“Lovely hotel in a quiet location”
The hotel well tucked away in a quiet area near Fandamente Nove which has a direct ferry service to the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It seems that many of the rooms are recently done up so it was all clean and comfortable. There are a few very nice restaurants near by so no need to stop at touristie places to eat on our way back to the hotel. Highly recommended.
“Good experience”
This hotel helped to make our visit to Venice a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, the room was large and well fitted out. It was one of the quietest hotels we have ever stayed in. It also had a roof top terrace which was great to have a quiet apertif before the sun went down and before going at night. Although it did not have a bar as such, it did serve drinks from a fridge which were very reasonably priced - 3 Euro for a beer, 8 Euro for a bottle of wine etc.. OK the breakfast was not the best, but was perfectly adequate with good coffee.
“Pleasantly surprised”
The Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean and kept that way during our stay. The hotel was within reasonable walking distance of the major tourist areas with loads of restaurants and bars nearby. Although close to amenities it was not noisy at night. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Rooms are over four floors and there is a lift. There was a lovely small rooftop terrace which was pleasant to sit on and have a drink before going out. The two nearest water bus stops are Ca doro and Fundamenta Nove and you can get a water bus from the airport, which cuts down the number of bridges you need to trail suitcases over. I would recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.
“Good hotel. Lovely roof terrace”
We liked this hotel. It was generally in a peaceful and quiet location, although on our final morning a work boat arrived at 6am to pump out a flooded restaurant which was rather noisy. As a result, the hotel did not charge us for our breakfasts, and we were very happy with this arrangement.
“Recommended 3* Hotel”
The hotel was a little tricky to find, but then again so is much of everywhere to a Venice first timer! The location was great - it was off the tourist trail, but still only around 10 mins walk to the Rialto and around 20/25 mins to San Marco Piazza. Lots of eating and drinking establishments in the immediate vicinity, our favourite tapas bar being around 1 min walk away. On our last day we decided to walk to the train station (admittedly we had tried this the day before to ensure we didn't get lost) and this also took around 20/25 mins with our luggage (which you have to carry over most canal bridges - so travel light!). The hotel itself was spotless. The rooms were small - but so are most in Venice unless you pay ridiculous prices. The only minor gripes were: (a) our "double" bed consisted of two singles pushed together, and (b) there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. That aside, you couldn't expect much more from a 3* hotel and I would certainly stay again.
“Would definitely return!”
This was a honeymoon stay for 6 nights. We had a deluxe room with a canal view on the 1st floor. We were given a bottle of sparkling wine compliments of the management which was a lovely touch. The hotel is situated in a quiet private courtyard and right on a small canal with water taxi access directly to the door. Despite being in a really quiet location, within a 5 minute walk is the Grand Canal and a water bus stop. Rialto Bridge is a pleasant 15 minute walk and St Mark's Square probably about 25 mins. All the staff we came into contact with were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The beds and towels were changed everyday. The breakfast buffet had a good continental selection including various pastries, yogurts, cereals, fruit, cakes and juices. Hot drinks were from a machine which took a little getting used to. Although not a large dining area, we only ever had a couple of short waits for a table. Breakfast is served between 8.30-10.30am. There is also a roof terrace with a couple of tables which gives nice views over the rooftops. All the rooms are air conditioned and ours was surprisingly large with a beautiful bathroom. We could not fault it at all. We got a water taxi from the airport directly to the hotel. They cost 110 euros which sounds a lot...BUT, if this is your 1st visit then budget for this thrilling ride. They are like limousine speedboats and to speed across the lagoon before winding your way through the canals is an experience I'll never forget.
“Everything you need”
The Hotel was in an ideal location - very close to vaparetto stops which service the island and to the airport. It was tucked around the back of a block which means it was less noisy. Nearby amenities were great (incl. supermarket, restaurants, shops & markets). The room at first seemed small but had everything you need; desk, chair, bed, wardrobe, safe, tv, bedside table, bathroom with shower, toilet. The service was excellent - staff were always friendly and efficient, 24hour reception, baggage store and the room was serviced every day. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!
“excellent hotel in peacefull area of venice”
excellent hotel in peacefull area of venice, very good setting ideal placement, lovely views from the roof terrace, comfortable and clean rooms with friendly staff, would use this hotel again if i was to go back to venice. My girlfriend and i took advantage of a local supermarket to have a few glasses of vino on the roof terrace at night to enjoy the peaceful surroundings
“Definite;y Recommend”
Great location and staff, rooms are small but perfect for what you want.
“Would go back any time”
This hotel is in a really nice quiet area, near some very pretty canals and bridges where you can spend some time just people (and gondola) watching. It's within an easy walk of the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square and just 5-10 minutes to the vaporetto stops at Ca D'Oro or Fondamenta Nova, giving easy access to the whole city, the outlying islands and the airport. The staff were really nice and helpful and I also recommend the buffet breakfast as being good value for money. All in all I had a fantastic time.
