hôtel sympa proche du vaporett , bonne prestation.

Pros: l'accueil et le calme.
Cons: un petit salon au rez de chaussée, mais cela paraît difficile à réaliser.
Venise est splendide et agréable même en Décembre (moins de touristes).

Lovely place for a stay

Posted 12-Dec-2014
Lovely hotel , lovely staff. This is what I would class as a 'boutique' hotel - the rooms are small ( we had a standard room) , but beautifully furnished . Wood paneled with a marbled bathroom. Comfortable beds. Views are either onto the lagoon or lagoon/St Marks . Breakfast was good - continental style but varied and plentiful. Location is great - about 10 mins walk from St Marks square so peaceful. Also , handy for the airport / actv vaporetto water taxis.

Posted 10-Dec-2014
Pros: La proximité et le calme et la gentillesse du personnel
Cons: Petit dejeuner très simple manque des œufs sur le plat ou à la coque du fromage plus de charcuterie du bon pain et plus de viennoiseries!
Location: Tout absolument tout!

Excellent location

The bucintoro is a quaint, elegant hotel only about 15 minutes from San Marco square....just far enough away from all the noise and crowds. Our four rooms were spotless, and the staff was very helpful. The nautical theme is perfect for venice, and i wouldn't hesitate to stay at the bucintoro again. Ciao !

Wonderful room, water view, location!

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: Water views, large room, great value, great breakfast
Location: Perfect on the water yet quiet because it is several blocks or bridges walk from St Marks.
This hotel is perfectly located on the lagoon/grand canal near Arsenale and a short walk along the water to St. Mark's Square. Thus, you are not dealing with all of the crowds but can get to the best museums, restaurants and shopping in minutes. You open multiple windows to a spectacular open water view. The breakfast and staff are perfect. The price is a very good value. We will return anytime in Venice.

Incredible rooftop terrace overlooking Grand Canal

Posted 03-Nov-2014
Cons: The mattresses and pillows.
Wonderful boutique style hotel in Castello sestieri on Grand Canal overlooking much of Venice. Room 501 has an incredible rooftop terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. Definitely worth the money just for the view. Wonderful sunsets with a glass of wine. Out of tourist area. Easy access to boats and airport. Quiet. Wonderful staff. My only complaint was the hard mattress and pillow.

Clean, well kept, quiet hotel.

Posted 30-Oct-2014
Pros: Edith the Scottish chambermaid was very friendly and helpful as were all of the staff.
Cons: Add a restaurant. Put more mirrors in the bedrooms.
Took a Water Taxi from Marco Polo to the hotel which makes you feel pretty special and drops you right outside the hotel. The location is very good, on the lagoon front in a quieter area but only 15 mins walk from St Mark's Square and next to the Arsenale Vaporetto stop. Room's are nicely furnished albeit in what I felt was a fairly modern mid-range yacht style. Found the hotel to be a good base to explore Venice, though if maybe not ideal if you had limited mobility. Although breakfast is served there's no restaurant although there are a number of restaurants near by ranging from a nice outdoor pizzeria next door to Ristorante Carppacio a few hundred yards away which seemed to one of the better mid-range tourist restaurants. A lot of previous visitors raved abut the breakfast which although a reasonable continental breakfast we found a little underwhelming (as an example fresh fruit salad was only available at the weekend).

Very Nice!! This hotel has a great location on the Venice Lagoon, close to everything, and the other Islands.
