"Excellent 2 bedroom apartment in Venice"
Our family of spent 5 very comfortable nights in Venice at Residenza Ca' Foscolo. The apartment is spacious. A small kitchen is included in the apartment and we cooked a few nights during our stay. Excellent location and facilities. I highly recommend this apartment to families looking for accommodation in Venice.

"Brilliant location and lovely hotel!"
I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Venice, and I couldn't think of a better place for us to go! Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Great location with lots to do.

"Location, location, location"
Wonderful location right next to Bridge of Sighs and a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco. Vaporetto stop right outside so easy to get to and from the airport and around Venice. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable - one of the best night's sleep away from home I've ever had. Concierge was wonderfully helpful. Had read that service could be unpredictable but we had nothing but good experiences - room service promises your order in 30 minutes or it's free and ours was always delivered on time. Not cheap but nothing in Venice is. Bit disappointing that we had to pay extra for wifi in the room (when it is free in the bar) but other than that, no complaints at all!

"Nice hotel near Grand Canal"
Room was clean, breakfast was goo, view was great. Some hotel staff were wonderful 9ask about the free trip to the glass blowing island) and others were okay.

"An excellent choice"
An excellent location and good facilities make this a very good choice for a break in Venice. The staff were responsive and very polite - basically all one could want from a hotel. The room was light and airy with good decor throughout. I'd have no hesitation in returning there.

"Our first choice for lodging in Venice"
We had stayed at the Hotel Abbazia in 2010 for one night and it was our first choice for lodging when returning to Venice in January 2015. The staff were wonderful and had answers to all our questions, from the best way to book a return-to-airport transfer (this advice alone, while costing slightly more than we planned, saved us at least 10 minutes of dragging our luggage through Venice at 5:00 am on the day of our departure). They provided recommendations for the best places for gondola rides, local restaurants, the best attractions, and the times of the Sunday services at the Basilica di San Marco. The location near the Santa Lucia railway station and the Piazzale Roma (where buses from the airport terminate their run) is ideal. The hotel is just off the Rio Tera Lista De Spagna, where you will find: a selection of local restaurants (including both Italian and Chinese [covered in another review] and bars (which also sold snacks); water buses (vaporetto) for the No. 1 and No. 2 lines which service the Grand Canal, as well as the No. 4.2 line servicing Murano and the No. 5.2 lines servicing Lido; banks with ATMs; lots of souvenir stands and shops; and gondola ride service.

"Perfectly located hotel. A fantastic budget hotel."
I stayed here for 4 nights in February, and cannot fault my stay here. As all the reviews about this hotel will say, one of it's best features is it's location. Only a matter of a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square, although one of the pleasures of Venice is spending time wandering through the little streets and passageways , and along the canals. Yes, all other reviews have mentioned that the hotel has no lift, and you book this hotel in that knowledge, so if you don't want to haul luggage up the stairs you might want to think twice about booking here. I had a single room with 'shared' facilities. The toilet was shared, but I had sale access (with key) to a shower, so that wasn't actually shared with anyone - it just wasn't in the bedroom - it was the room next door, so hardly as though I needed to wander far! Breakfast is included, and is very filling and a good choice. To get to the hotel from Marco Polo airport I would recommend the Alilaguna (Orange/Arancina line), which drops you off at the Rialto stop - (journey takes about 50 minutes). It took me less than 2 minutes to walk from the Rialto stop to the hotel - (the directions on the hotel website are great). There was free WiFi in the hotel, and I had a good signal in my room. The staff were really pleasant and very friendly. In summary, I couldn't fault the hotel and will definitely stay here again.

"Well worth it."
A fantastic time, great place, food and culture. Only obstacle was figuring out the water bus on upon arrival as didn't know where to get off near the hotel. If we were informed or guided before we wouldn't have stressed. Can't wait to go back in a few years and would book the same hotel without a doubt.

"Short but sweet"
We were only in Venice for two nights and arriving late on the first night. Although we didn't get to the hotel until after 12, the staff were friendly and chirpy ready to check us in. The bar did close earlier then advertised, but they still prepared us some drinks. The room was so venetian is was beautiful, a lovely place to sleep on our honeymoon. Breakfast was a stunning buffet, but expensive. We ate at a local bar for the other day. We didn't eat at the restaurant as we were only there one day really. Check out was easy and they provided excellent information for getting the vapporetti back. Overall a really lovely luxury stay.

From train station, you have to take a water bus to hotel. Ticket for water bus is about 7 euro (Sometimes they check your ticket sometimes they don't). It's about 10 minutes and it's a beautiful ride. Then walk to hotel is about another 10 min. Staff was great. They are very knowledgeable about what to see and where to go. Hotel is within walking distance of the city center and St Mark's Church/Square. NIce, full breakfast selection. Hotel has Venetian flare which we loved, very clean and well kept. They will also hold your luggage after you check out if you want to continue to sight see.
