Loved the location and the style of the hotel.

Posted 03-Jul-2015
Pros: Roof top pool and being away from the hectic pace on the other side of the grand canal.
Cons: Extra boats put on to transport across canal at busy times.
Location: Lovely fish Restaurent ' Trattoria Altanella' nearby .
I took my 2 daughters as it was for my youngest 21st Birthday. The hotel put strawberries dipped in chocolate in the room - nice touch. Loved the pool on the roof and having breakfast outside was most enjoyable.

Great location and within easy reach of Zaterre or Piazza San Marco. Very clean and looks like it was renovated yesterday. Fixtures/fitting all look brand new and roof top pool lovely albeit very busy.

Tired.

Posted 30-Jun-2015
Cons: Fixing the various broken or worn fittings (windows mentioned above, also scrappy holes on doors). WiFi system is clunky too.
Location: Good location for the quieter part of Venice which we like. Odd to charge for the "free" boat service though.
We've stayed at the Molino Stucky before but this time it felt very tired and in need of a refurbishment. In particular the window to our room (320) couldn't be properly closed, meaning we couldn't cut out external noise as much as we should have been able to. Our request to have this fixed got no response and subsequently I had a very badly disturbed nights sleep when there was a very noisy pool party on the rooftop pool a few floors above us. Overall very disappointing.

Great location

This hotel is just a 10 minutes boat ride away from the centre of venice which is perfect to be away from the congestion. It boasts a great view on the river and facilities are very good. I would recommend to anyone visiting venice.

Excellent Hotel in Iconic Building

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: The building, the location, the staff, the breakfast, the pool and views from the roof, the fabulous food at 'Aromi' - just about everything.
Cons: The furnishings were beginning to show signs of wear. On our last two nights a family with loud children had dramatic arguments late at night.
Location: There are great restaurants on the Giudecca: our favourite was Ai Cacciatori. The gallery at Tre Oci is wonderful.
My husband and I have always been intrigued by the Molino Stucky - seeing it first when it was derelict, it captured our imaginations - staying there was very special. The conversion to an hotel has been achieved superbly and the location in the Giudecca keeps one well away from the tourist hordes. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and we were given a lovely room with a view of the canal . The management and staff are quite superb. We had probably our best ever holiday in Venice. It is so easy to take the ACTV vaporetti from Palanca or Sacca Fisola to see all around Venice. We recommend taking the Linea Blu boat (Alilaguna) from the airport to/from the hotel.

Dear Guest, thank you for leaving a review about our hotel. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay here and are sorry if you thought that our prices are expensive, obviously there are not many other pools in Venice with rooftop view, however our prices are levelled with those of other 5-stars hotels in Venice. We look forward to welcoming you back Best regards Riccardo Ranzato Guest Relations Manager

Hotel is very nice and off the main island however with regular free shuttle service it is great to get away from the crowds at the end of a long day. All amenities are available at the hotel and a North American traveler can easily adjust to feel of the atmosphere and rooms.

Pros: The location and staff made it a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Absolut exzellentes Hotel - rundum beeindruckend

Posted 19-Jun-2015

Away from the maddening crowds

Posted 17-Jun-2015
Being across the Giudecca Canal from Venice has its pros and cons. Biggest con: having to hop on a water shuttle every time you want to go to/from the action of Venice. It's also it's biggest pro: Giudecca Island is a quiet oasis from the touristy chaos, it has ample choices of restaurants including Harry's Dolci and Altonella's Trattoria(do not miss their gnocchi), just a few shops and a sunset view from along the canal. Having access to the Executive Lounge was stellar. One evening they had an octopus salad which was fantastic. The big breakfast buffet in the main dining area is fabulous. Wish the executive lounge had champagne, & wish they would offer the beer/wine/hor d'ourvres for more than 2 hours as we usually missed it getting back late from the mainland. The star of the hotel is the rooftop pool. Although they need to create more shade up there and more comforts like pillows, the views especially at sunset are knock outs. Also they are foolish to close the pool at 8pm when there is still so much beauty and opportunity to make big $ on bar drinks! The pool menu needs more variety and the pizza was an embarrassment. The pool staff was friendly and fun. Our room, a non upgraded twin, was spacious, elegant and perfectly lovely. Would have loved a canal view but it was a busy week there. I would highly recommend the "Stucky" ! Enjoy!
