Great hotel, not great prices

Posted 13-Sep-2014
Hotel setting and facilities where up to the highest standard , however rooms priced at such high price it is not expected that additional fees are added for things such as the in door jacuzzi and steam room

Quiet hotel away from crowds

Posted 11-Sep-2014
We stayed here 4 nights after our cruise. We were done with crowds and needed some quiet. This hotel was perfect! The room was beautiful with a comfortable king size bed and two large closets. The bathroom was very clean and modern and even had built in converters for my hair dryer. We had two amazing meals at both of the hotel's restaurants. The food and service at the restaurants were better than we experienced anywhere else in Venice. The rooftop bar has stunning views of Veniice and the rooftop pool (with another bar) is fantastic with more views. The hotel offers a free shuttle 24 hours that runs about every 30 minutes or so. Our friends met us one night for dinner and had no trouble jumping on the shuttle to meet us. The only drawback is that besides this hotel and one other at the end of the island, there is nothing else to see or do. You have to take the shuttle across if you want to shop or site see.

Hilton , venice

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: It was of a good standard
Cons: The food was bland ,seen the sushi chef pulling strips of fish from a packet ' on a city built on the sea I don't see that getting fresh fish was hard
Location: It was a pain having to wait for a boat every day to the man island , there was very little on the island with the Hilton on it
The Hilton lacks any extras ,wi if was expensive ect , nice hotel , the location was a bit of a bore over the 8 days having to get a boat to st marks every day was a bit tedious ,sky bar was nice but at 14 euro a cocktail the drinks could have been better , not bad , not great for a long stay though

Perfect for our romantic break.

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Cons: The shuttle boat to St Marks is great but can get busy and sometimes you cant get on it. More shuttles more frequently would be good.
Location: Location is outstanding. The views are phenomenal.
A top class hotel, great facilities. Brilliant roof top bar and pool. Excellent location. Pricey, but worth it as a one off.

Excellent hotel - tranquil location

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: Roof top pool, hotel restaurants, views, professional service
Cons: The taxi boat service was incredibly unorganised and in peak season people were having to wait over 40 minutes for taxis or pay for seperate services.
Location: Very convenient if the above is working! Nice to be outside the main island but with relatively easy access.
A well priced Hilton hotel to the south of the main island of Venice this striking building provides excellent accommodation with good restaurants and a lovely roof top pool and bar. Subject to them sorting out their taxi boat service, I would definately recommend this hotel to others.

Perfect, right where you want to be.

Fantastic loved every minute. Only thing, would be nice to get complimentary water at the roof top pool, especially on a hot day.

Clinically good hotel

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean, easy, quiet.
Cons: Perhaps the staff need to loosen up a bit.
Location: This hotel is on an island near to everything and operates a free boat shuttle to the "main bit" of Venice. The island itself has plenty to do.
This hotel is housed in a converted pasta wheat processing mill so has a fantastic history. It was clearly a no-expense spared renovation but in the process, or maybe in the running and management, something has been lost. It was hard to fault anything about this hotel (one crabby waitress at breakfast perhaps) but the hotel felt impersonal in a way other renovations (think Luton Hoo as an example) don't. Don't take that as too much of a criticism though, this is an excellent and easy to stay in hotel.

Really a 3 star

Okay hotel but certainly not a 4 star hotel. Food etc very overpriced, even for Venice.

Lovely hotel

Lots of different bars and restaurants to choose from. The free shuttle boat is really useful too and runs until late.
