The room was tiny, the shower even smaller and the a/c did not work. Overall a would rate this barely a 2 star hotel. Not good value.

Nicolo and his dad run the small quaint property which is no more than 15 min walk from Santa Lúcia train station. Nicolo really care about showing us what Venice has to offer, lots of personalised suggestions across all the city, without his knowledge we wouldn’t have enjoyed Venice as much as we did, thank you!

The staff was excellent and breakfast in the garden delightful. The room had some disadvantages. There were up and down step levels with black tile making the steps not very obvious. For instance the bathroom had a step up to get in and then in the middle a 1 inch step up in the middle -- all with black on black tile. If you missed them a slip and fall would happen. They need to at least put a reflective tape or something so that it is obvious. Also the room was damp and the paint peeling off the wall in places. The shower was nice but didn't have a little shelf to put the soap or shampoo. The sink also did not have room to put your make up. It was a modern bathroom, but not thought through for the person's use. My room opened out onto a little patio which could have been delightful but it was dirty and didn't have even a chair to make it usable.

Had a non-refundable (I’ll never make that mistake again) booking for two nights at this hotel in Venice in late September, 2023. We arrived on the train from Milan and checked in midafternoon. Admittedly, once we got to the room, it was not what we expected. The room was tired and dingy. Cracked and broken glass on the nightstand and peeling paint on the walls and floor among other things. Definitely NOT a three star hotel in any part of the world that we’ve traveled to. Since it was a non-refundable reservation AND we were already out over $300 USD, we figured that as long as the bed was comfortable and that the shower worked, we would stay. After heading out into Venice for the afternoon and grabbing some dinner, we eventually made it back to the room around 9pm. We climbed into bed looking forward to a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel and that’s when the mosquitoes started swarming. We got no sleep….none. We hid under the sheets whenever we weren’t trying to kill the mosquitoes. This went on all night long. I told the proprietor the following morning about the mosquitoes and he couldn’t care less. He mumbled something about putting a “machine” in our room and this would take care of our mosquito problem in an hour. We declined his very generous offer (along with his offer not to charge us a city tax), called Hotels.com to complain about this situation then got the hell out of there. The proprietor wouldn’t refund our money for the second night. Imagine that!

Cà dei Leoni - Charming and Affordable
Very Venetian and very comfortable. Ten minute walk from train station. Staff very helpful and informative. Easy walk to vaporettos. Daily continental breakfast. Pleasant garden area. Casa Bonita, excellent restaurant, is around the corner. Would stay here again.

Lovely little hotel, with a lot of history. Guy on reception was very friendly and helpful (told us about the €2 gondola ride you can do). Great location, easily walkable to the train station and boat stations. Nice bars round the corner as well. Lovely breakfast provided in a courtyard. Would definitely stay there again.

This is an amazing hotel! Nikola at the front desk was so helpful with knowledge of how to get around, recommendations, and a winning personality! The A/C in our room was phenomenal which was nice on such hot humid days. The breakfast was delicious and filling and all the staff was so kind. It’s not the biggest room, but we were very comfortable and would stay here again!

A fantastic value
Wonderful for us. We only had only one night in Venice so we were there pretty much to sleep and have breakfast before heading out the next morning to our next adventure. We chose Ca dei Leoni for the price and convenience to the train station. As the room quality and breakfast were wonderful and the host very pleasant, I can say for the short time I was there all those factors combined make this a great value in my opinion and I would definitely return.

This little hotel is located in a fantastic area of Venice, we were initially worried that it was too far out from the center but it was perfect! Close to a jazz cafe (Laguna Libre), House De Crepes and a few other little gems - was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and happy to help! The hotel room itself was okay - the bed wasnt the most comfortable and the headboard wasn't attached so every slight movement made it bang against the wall; it was however generally tidy and the cleaners come round every day, very glad to have had air con also! Very pleasant stay overall :)

The Cà dei Leoni is a small family run hotel. While it is close to the train station and many of the popular location. It is tucked away in a quite corner away from the turmoil of the crowds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are compact and well maintained. Break

I booked an economy room and sadly, this room was not good. There was mold on the wall next to the bed. Thankfully we were moved to a clean beautiful room the next day and this was very pleasant. Staff is super nice and the location restful! Breakfast was outstanding!

You won't find anywhere better in Venice
We had a great stay at Cà dei Leoni ('House of the Lions'). It's a lovely little family-run hotel in a great location. It's about an eight-minute walk from the station, and just round the corner from a useful Vaporetto (water bus) stop (Crea). Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice - served in the enclosed and covered garden. Most importantly, the owners and staff are super friendly and really made us feel welcome. Nicolo is a great source of information and will give you some great tips to make your visit to Venice even more enjoyable. We highly recommend it. You really won't find anywhere better in Venice.

A charming room (request the ones with timber beamed ceilings) in a 15th century building off the canal near Ponte Le Guglie in the Canareggio area of Venice. Easy access to the main route leading to the Rialto and San Marco Square, and not far form the train and bus stations. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast in the charming rear garden. Amidst relatively moderate pricing.

Lovely quiet property and a short walk from Santa Lucia Stn if you read maps better than I do. Very friendly reception and hospitable atmosphere. My room was air condtioned ( beyond my expectation ). It had no view but its calm decor, lay-out and the sparkling cleanliness made up for it. I would stay here again but I do wish the rooms featured safe boxes for the extra peace of mind.

Such a lovely find. The young gentleman who greeted us at reception was incredible. So passionate about the city and so helpful! Got a lot of amazing advice to explore. Room could have an extra charge point so portable charger came in very handy but otherwise absolutely perfect. Very close walk to the train station.

This hotel is an absolute must if you have the chance to stay here I would is very clean and very nice the staff was super friendly and the morning staff the young man and the lady that does the breakfast outside in the garden was absolutely amazing he picked a fresh fig for my wife to try and I would highly recommend this place above any other place that we stayed in Venice this was a last-minute hotel book and I wished I had picked this place for a house today we arrived today early and needed somewhere to stay this would have been my hotel of choice it also includes a free breakfast that is absolutely incredible

The hotel was clean and well-kept. The concierge was extremely friendly and helpful. The only knock is that it is definitely not centrally located, but it is still close enough to the gran canal and lots of good restaurants.
