David is very nice and caring. He takes the time to answer any questions, and having generational family ties to Venice, knows the city really well and gives good advice. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is really good, not just muffins and tea. I would stay here again.

Clean family run small hotel.
A clean small family run hotel. It’s dated but still in decent enough shape and it’s clean. Decent breakfast and an owner who is vested in making sure his guests have a good experience. Slightly off the beaten path but that’s good as it’s still close to the major sights and it’s quiet. Great value for the money.

Worth it for the rustic setting
Hotel is difficult to find during the night as the light above the entrance isn’t working and so it is very easy to miss the building number. The door handle to the entrance also came off in my hand one evening. The hotel itself if very clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The building is very rustic and amazing to look at. Most of the facilities in the room were as expected but the fridge wasn’t working (apparently stopped just before we arrived) so we couldn’t refrigerate bottled water. The bed is comfortable and the breakfasts were good.

Located in a quiet area of Venice and close to the Alilaguna stop, which was convenient when going to/from the airport. Davide was also very helpful and let us check in early since our plane arrived at 930M. Great place and will recommend it to friends and family.

Full of charm and authenticity. Fixtures and fittings are worn but all the better for it as this adds to the aged decadence. Breakfast was simple but excellent value at only €5 in this part of Venice.

Perfect for 1 night before heading to the airport but probably wouldn’t be able to do multiple nights. Beds were uncomfortable and had extremely thin sheets (no fitted sheet) as well as no fan or AC, but if you open the windows, you will be eaten by mosquitoes. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful with our many questions and service was wonderful.

The property was easy to find and great for st. Marco square and Rialto bridge. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and very polite. He advised us to have breakfast which was a great idea. He also gives great advice how to get round Venice so listen to what he says. When my wife and I return to Venice this will be the first play we look for to book.

Great place and service. Very pleased with the service and details provided by the owner. Easy to find from Ospedale water bus station. Just 5 mins walk. We really enjoyed two nights of staying on the hotel!

Worth the money.
Remember this is a guest house not a hotel. They'll remind you of this each morning. Ha You'll only get towels once every 3 days which can be hard in a city which is above 30 degrees and you want to shower 2-3 times a day. The air conditioning work perfectly, very powerful so the rooms are very comfortable. They're spacious and very clean. It's close to the water so getting around by water taxi is really easy. The guest house is quite and perfect for what we needed at a reasonable price for a weekend get away.

We are happy t hear that the guests appreciated our accommodation. We smile when they say that we remind our guests that we are a B&B. It is true! Our place is so lovely and impressive that when they come in our guests say "this must be a 5 star hotel". But we are "just" a Bed and Breakfast... Of a 5 star hotel and probably more than a 5 star hotel we can offer a very attentive and personal service. We are happy our guests appreciate that.

Great stay
Amazing stay! The owner is very helpful and friendly and knows the city very well. Chatting with him he told us about the history of the building and some of its over 500 year history, with much of the original structure still in tact! Very comfortable and fantastic service, when I return to Venice I will definitely stay here again!

Ca'Bauta is in a perfect location in Venice! Walkable to almost everything and if not, the waterbus system is close by. The room was spacious and clean. For a budget friendly vacation option, I would definitley pick this place!

Hotel Manager (Davide) very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and other information you might require. We arrived when Venice was in flood and it got worse on the second day, Davide provided us with wellingtons so we could get out and about. Hotel is very pretty once inside and very grand breakfast room with beautiful chandeliers, our room had a large jacuzzi bath in the middle and on suite bathroom with shower.

We found this hotel to be in a very good location for us to explore Venice. We received a warm welcome from Davide who gave us very helpful advice and very good recommendations of where to eat in the evenings locally. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast in the heart of Venice. Upon entering the courtyard of Ca' Bauta, I wondered if this was the place that I had reserved. However, upon entering the 15th century building, we were thoroughly delighted both by the beautiful space and the very warm welcome from Davide, Ca' Bauta host and manager. The breakfasts each morning cost an additional fee, but were a great deal, offering hard boiled eggs, spinach quiche, cheeses, croissants, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and even a decadent-for-breakfast chocolate cake! Yes, we would definitely stay here again.
