"Very elegant old hotel staffed by professionals!"
Our stay could not have been better. Clean, comfortable, and very well managed. Breakfast was included and was better than expected.. Room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Staff is full service and guest centric. They made our stay the best! Would not hesitate to recommend to all!
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
We arrived quite late on a Friday night on to lido, quickly found the bus stop and took the 'A' bus (as advised on the hotel website). The bus driver stopped a bit away from the hotel but pointed us in the right direction and we were soon there. If you do take the bus, get off at the 4/5 via malamocco stop, cross the road and continue in the same direction as the bus was and you'll be at the hotel in about a minute.
We arrived late, past 11 o'clock but there was an exceedingly helpful member of staff on the desk who welcomed us, gave us our room key and gave us directions to the room.
The room was spotless, light and had all the amenities that you could wish for (except the only plug socket was behind a rather heavy wardrobe). The balcony was an unexpected bonus.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient. cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses and yoghurt were all out to choose from. juice, water, a coffee machine and a selection of teas were also provided.
Another bonus was the free shuttle minibus that took 8 passengers per journey directly to the waterbus station. there was also a vending machine in the hotel block we stayed in which came in useful when we wanted refreshment upon our late arrival.
Check out was quick and simple, be aware that you pay a VERY small tax per night.
Two nights in Mestre for a family of 6 in 2 connected rooms. 1 small room with double bed, 1 larger room with 2 singles and a double for the kids. Reasonably priced for a clean and new looking hotel. Great bathrooms, lots of hot water. Very nice breakfast, included in price. No real cooking facilities, but we wanted to taste the local cuisine anyway. Easy to get to Venice (5 min walk to bus stop, 15-20 min bus ride). Hotel staff explained travel options to get to Venice, including maps, very useful. Car park available for us at the front of the hotel at no extra cost. Not sure what there is to see in Mestre, Venice was the reason for our stay - spent all day and night in Venice. Would highly recommend it, would definitely stay there again.
I arrived early, before check-in time, but that was not a problem, was given an upgrade to the top class room and, when I said that I had to leave to catch the 05:32 water bus to the airport, that, too was no problem and a packed breakfast was waiting for me in the morning.
This was hotel management as it ought to be!
We really liked the location - in Venice, a bit off the tourist track, and close to an airport water transportation stop and an easy walk from the train station. The hotel is well run, clean, and well appointed. Our room was attractive and clean. The breakfast was fine but not excellent, the coffee machines left a bit to be desired. The hotel is perhaps not quite a full four star in it's amenities but was perfect for us, especially at the reasonable price. The decor is oriental themed.
Hotel Panorama is located on the beautiful island Lido and is situated right across from the water bus stop. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and treat us well. The beds were comfortable and the air was much needed in the unseasonably warm temps. It was a beautifully relaxing stay.
