“Loved our stay at this nice hotel”

My wife, two children, and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. We found the location to be fantastic (very near the train and bus station). I will warn you that you have to roll your luggage up and over a large bridge to get to the bus station. From the train station, the hotel is amazingly close....and no stairs. The lady at the desk was fantastic. She locked the door and helped us to bring our luggage up to our room (no elevator in this hotel like many Venice). We found the room to be plenty large for the four of us with a queen bed and two twins (perfect). The bathroom was large and had a stand-up shower with a completely closing glass door (a little small, but no water sprayed out into the remainder of the room like our room in Vienna). Plenty of hot water. The room had wonderful air conditioning (it was hot in Venice when we there...hot enough to have a tornado form over the grand canal). It was provided by a "mini-split" system that had a digital thermostat on the wall above the beds. We slept wonderfully in the cool room (24 degress celius is the same as 76 degrees F.) We were a little worried when we saw that our windows faced onto the "street" in front of the hotel. I am glad to report that, with the windows closed, we were not woken up during the night. There are "bells" from the nearby church in the morning, however. Breakfast was very good including wonderful cappachino and hot chocolate. Overall....we would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Beautiful little hotel with the personality of B&B”

Great helpful staff that new the details of our visit. They definitely made us feel that we were important to them and that they were there to help make our visit to Venice the best it could be. The room, a quad, was excellent and spacious by European standards. We had two adults, an 18 year old and 12 year old with us. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful... I will miss that morning coffee. It was easy to see all of Venice walking from the hotel and there is a water bus stop right by it if you choose not to walk. Also, the close proximity to the train and bridge made it easy to find your way back home after a night of adventuring. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Venice.

“Just right for the money.”

There was a taxi strike when we arrived and we did not have a problem with it because the hotel is just 2 minutes walk from train station. The staff was great and very helpful with no complaints and not snobbish nor arrogant. The price is jut right. Only there were no eggs and tomatoes in breakfast which are important to me. Only water taxi is available and expensive to reach airport. However, the receptionist suggested to use the airport bus which we did but we have to drag our heavy suitcases up to the bridge up and down. Anyway it is not their fault, it is how it is in Venice.

“Best hotel in BEST location....”

First, if you arrive via train the hotel is VERY close to the terminal. This hotel exceeded my expectations on all levels and I am pretty hard on hotels these days. Very clean, spacious room and the bathroom was fab!!! If you are leaving on a cruise from Venice you only need to walk out the hotel to the Grand Canal and take a private water taxi to the cruise reception area...this is important; if like me you walk until you are ready to drop the day before boarding the ship.

“Great Venice hotel value”

What a great value for Venice. Rooms are wonderul. Quiet street. A/C works (very important). Great cappucino in the morning. You can have more luxury and better views from your window but it will cost a lot more.

“Great location!”

The location was great, so close to the train station, the river, shopping, food. The staff was very nice and helpful. And breakfast was included--that can be hard to find at these prices. There were 4 of us in the room with 2 double beds, so it was a bit cozy, but worth it. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would like to stay there on our next trip.

“Magical Venice”

Loconda di Osario was the perfect place to sstay in Venice. It is a small, charming hotel with incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our time in Venice. The room was compact (as is everything in Venice) but immaculately clean and the bathroom was fabulous. The price was really reasonable for Venice, particularly as breakfast was included (with the best coffee anyway you wanted it!) and it is perfectly located - close to the train station and the Grand Canal. Can I go back please?
