“Regina Hotel”

In the past Regina hotel has recieved negative reviews on trip advisor but the more recent reviews on other webistes were more positive. We went to the hotel twice on our trip and had a positive expereince at the hotel. The hotel is located near to one of the two train stations but not the TGV train station that you will probably arrive on if you are coming from Paris. Therefore, you will need to catch a bus outside of the train station to the other train station to walk to the hotel. The hotel is in middle of the historic section of Avignon and an ideal location for the hotel. There are nice views on the roof top that is accessible. The rooms on lower levels are upgraded with thick windows to reduce the noise from the street. My wife and I would stay in the hotel again and recommend it for the price range.

“Basic but clean and central”

I must admit that after reading reviews on here I was terrified at what I was going to find when we arrived in Avignon. Bearing in mind the trade off one must make for an affordable price vis a vis being central, I was actually quite happy. The hotel was basic but clean. Our room was quite small but had two balconies. The shower room wasnt pretty but everything worked. The bed was very comfortable. It was noisy outside at night until about 1am but all windows were double glazed so if I had closed them it wouldnt have been a problem. The room didnt have air-conditioning but I am not a great fan of it anyway. Heat was not a problem. The staff were appropriately friendly without being intrusive.

“value for money”

definitely good value for money. I booked a single room. It is definitely the same as double room. pros, very good location. steps away from the main square, place de l`horloge. big room, king size bed, with balcany facing the main street, rue de la republic, separate toilet and shower room, LCD TV but all french channels cons, the deco is old and so are the furnitures, the shower room is not really up to standard, but it is clean. overall, very happy with the booking. value for money. btw, the postcard in the hotel reception is cheaper than the ones on the main street.

“Déception !”

Hôtel vétuste et sale. Salle de bains minuscule et baignoire trop petite pour justifier un supplément de prix. Aucun sens commercial : le dernier jour, pas d'eau chaude (problème de chaudière). Nous n'avons jamais réussi à nous faire rembourser le supplément « baignoire ». On ne nous a même pas offert un petit-déjeuner pour compenser la douche glacée ! Attention, le descriptif est inexact : le Wi-Fi n'est accessible gratuitement que depuis le rez-de-chaussée. Pour en profiter dans sa chambre, il faut acheter une carte. Un week-end qui aurait pu être parfait....

“ne mérite pas ses 3 étoiles !”

Confort moyen - chauffage se déclenche le soir seulement s'il fait froid dehors - obligée de demander une couverture supplémentaire car 1 seule en réserve dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner correct mais rapport qualité/prix pas satisfaisant - Double vitrage ne parvient pas à éliminer totalement le bruit de la Rue de la république. Seules qualités : personnel acorte et proximité immédiate du palais des Papes. Bof...Déception....

“Hôtel sans prétention mais superbement placé”

Hôtel sans prétention, mais une très bonne litterie qui nous a permis de très bien y dormir, ce que l'on demande avant tout à un hôtel. Par contre, il est superbement situé au coeur de la ville historique. Etant donné que nous n'y avons pas passé de temps à part pour dormir, cela nous a emplement satisfait.

“Hotel Regina -Avignon centre- rue Republique”

Hotel très bien situé à deux pas de la place des horloges et du palais des papes, commerces et restaurants. Cependant, nous avons été importuné par la présence de sans abris à l'entrée de l'hotel. La rue était très bruyante. Rapport qualité/prix très faible. De plus, il y avait une odeur de produit anti-cafard dans la chambre.

“A ne surtout pas essayer!”

Pas de wifi, pas d'oreillers, pas de douche qui tienne au mur, un insonorisation attroce, pas de climatisation, fenetre sur cour intérieure horrible (où se trouvent les évacuations de la cuisine etc) ou sur rue mais avec simple vitrage... service très lent (j'ai personnellement du attendre 5h pour qu'on me donne un oreiller)

“Bon rapport qualité prix”

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour cette hôtel pour lequel on ne peut reprocher qu'une chose : être dans une rue un peu bruyante.
