“Al Dente Restaurant in the hotel was superb”

The hotel's alternative, upscale, small restaurant, Al Dente, was terrific. It was a little bit hard to find (it was the first day they were open this season), but we were personally taken to the room by a waitress there. We had a candle-lit dinner with terrific cuisine that was somewhat Italian-oriented. The service was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable, compared to Italy. The quality was better than many meals we had in Italy.

“Excellent Hotel”

Stayed at the MGH for the first time and had a Junior suite, this automatically gave access to the Level Club which included VIP dining room VIP pool area etc. The A la'carte restaurant was excellent the food was outstanding. Very happy to return !!

“A truly Grand hotel.”

Golden Sands is Bulgaria Del Brava. The coast is a long stretch of ugly modern hotels but in the midst of this is the oasis of the splendid Melia Grand Hermitage. For sun and luxury it is difficult to improve on the Melia at Golden Sands. The hotel is set back from the beach with spectacular views over the Black Sea. The route to the beach is a grand flight of steps - if you want to drag yourself away from the hotel's giant swimming pool.

my husband and i had our second visit here, and it was just as good as the first time. a great location as its on the beach front and only 25 mins to the city of varna. the staff are freindly and the food was good.
