“Good, Very good”

Because it was far a little heartily in a town, I was slightly inconvenient for traffic, but the hotel was comfortable. The sea can go on foot. If there is an opportunity next, I come again.

“Respectable full-service hotel”

I booked this hotel knowing it was not in city center as I had a car while traveling throughout Bulgaria. Though the property itself is easily findable and on a main road, actually getting to the opposite side or front entrance to the hotel requires a tedious, yet well-marked detour over poor roads and high-rise apartment blocks. Otherwise, the property has a full-service restaurant and bar, excellent front-desk staff and free WIFI throughout. Rooms were typical of Best Western, functional not luxurious with nice tv channel assortment, comfortable bed and clean bathrooms. The hotel had a sauna/gym equipment in the basement that was lightly used and well-lit. Though the hotel is not in city center Varna, it is just across the highway from the spectacular oceanfront park that goes on for kilometers in Varna - excellent for runs/walks/bike rides or Black Sea sightseeing.

Area recommendations

Varna is easily accessible and walkable. The plentiful city maps highlight the route from the main cathedral at city center down the grand walking boulevard to the esplanade and beach area. If you are looking for usable beach, it's best found at resort properties either north or south of Varna proper versus looking for well-serviced beach space in the center of the city.

“Best west park hotel 1 oktober 2010”

Hotel is een goed hotel. Kamers zijn wat gehorig, de buren genieten mee van uw douche plezier. Gezien de prijs zijn er in het centrum voor dezelfde prijs even zo goede hotels te krijgen. Wil je het strand zien dan is voor hetzelfde geld veel betere kwaliteit te vinden in het Goudstrand. Maar begin oktober ben je dan wel vrijwel alleen op het goudstrand met wat pensionadas!!. Voor een strandvakantie is dit hotel totaal ongeschikt. Het hotel mag dan wel hemelsbreed 5 minuten van het strand liggen, daarvoor moet men zich wel van de rotsen storten De ligging naast het stadspark is mooi, maar om bij strand te komen is wel een wandeling van 20 minuten nodig. Wil men naar het Goudstrand dan is de bus 409 voor de deur die je daar binnen 10minuten brengt. Ook het centrum is onder andere met bus 409 binnen 10 minuten te bereiken. Gezien ik voor mijn werk in Varna kwam en het hotel met bus 409 te bereiken is vanuit het vliegveld was dat wel weer een voordeel. Zou ik nog een keer dit hotel nemen. Nee ik zou dan toch een hotel in het Centrum van Varna nemen want dat is heel gezellig.

Bulgarije is een onontdekt land. er zijn vele othodoxe kloosters kerken musea, met ongelovelijke gouden sieraden iconen en ja ook nederlandse schilders toevallig gevonden op zolder in een huis in Varna ( stadsmuseum) Veel warme bronnen welk water gewoon te drinken is volgens de Varnase mensen. Openbaar vervoer is uitstekend

When to go

Voor cultuur en werk in het voorjaar en het najaar sept <> oktober Voor het strand niet in het hoogseizoen, Zonnestrand is vreselijk, een grote beton woestenij met alleen maar hotels>. Benidorm is er niets bij.

Getting there

Vliegtuig en openbaar vervoer. Wil je in het land reizen dan is een auto een must.

“Für bulgarische Verhätnisse ganz gut!”

Für bulgarische Verhältnisse ist das Hotel ziemlich anständig. Frühstück läßt zu wünschen übrig, aber das ist in den meisten Hotels der Fall. Die Zufahr durch eine Wohnblocksiedlung ist anstrengend, dafür eröffnet sich aber vom Hotelzimmer ein wunderbarer Blick aufs Meer, der besonders beim Sonnenaufgang sehr schön ist.
