Hotel has great facilities and wonderful staff. Very good location. 10 minutes by taxi (10 Euro) to metro that takes you to down town. All rooms are facing the beach with nice balconies. The free open buffet Breakfast is excellent with plenty of food. Ideal for May-October when the outside pools are open. The indoor pool and recreation facilities are extremely expensive with 45 Euro per visit.
Wow! Best hotel I have ever stayed. Warm inviting atmosphere. Customer service is the best. Period. Anything you need the staff makes it happen for you. Excellent restaurant and food right at the hotel. The free breakfast is top notch. Good location if your looking for something away from the main city but just a short taxi ride away. Tons of beaches and restaurants within walking distance!
If you get the right room you get a glorious view of the habour and can enjoy a drink while watching the sun set. The room was well furnished and even came with a very decent stereo (so take your CDs).
Breakfast was very good and set us up for our days visiting the historical sites in Athens, which can be reached by a short bus and train journey (between 45minutes- 1 hour journey time depending on connections).
Overall wonderful experience. Spacious, well maintained room. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops in Glyfada. Hotel ordered taxis were timely, clean and with courteous drivers. Beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Watch out for the mosquitos at the pool deck!
The hotel is beautiful, booking last minute myself and my friend thought that there wasn't much hope but the rooms were amazing. The location is great, it's opposite a really lovely beach, it is a pay beach but the tram outside heads along the coast to some amazing locations (Attiki beach was the best one!). One day we simply got on without a clue where we were going and just got off at the best looking beach! There's also a bus straight outside the hotel (A2 I think) that goes straight to Athens, the acropolis etc! The hotel is a ten minute walk from Glyfada Square too, in general it was just an absolute great base to see the coast and the city of Athens. The young lady at the reception area spoke great English so always helped us with where we were going and the older gentleman had two small kittens (not running around the hotel for anyone whose not an animal lover - they are kept behind the desk or in the back room) but he was great fun with them!
Airport bus stops twenty metres past front door, met by Steve the manager booked in within five minutes room on first floor no lift but Steve took suitcases and showed us to our room and set the air con going as it was another hot day.
Room was a good size bathroom ok and a small balcony facing the sea with a table and two chairs, the room had an empty fridge which is great as we usually find a supermarket and stock up coke, tea etc.
The hotel is on a main coastal road and there is traffic noise but we knew this before we booked so no complaints.
Directly opposite the hotel is the beach which costs 6 euros to go in and two loungers with a brolly is another 5 euros, the charge may seem a little high but the beach area is kept clean and well presented also there is an onsite café/bar you can order your food and drinks and they will bring it to your lounger.
About a ten minute walk to town, plenty of bars and restaurants things start getting busy from 7,00pm onwards.
The tram terminus is also about a hundred metres past the beach entrance 1.40 euros for a single ticket this will take you into Athens and terminate in Syntagma square.
Steve and his staff were very helpful with information and nothing was to much trouble.
We enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.
For never having been to Greece before, this is a good starter hotel. It is a short walk to the beach and a short walk to a major bus stop and tram for direct access to the center of Athens. Very good service. Clean sheets for the second night, as well. Very pleasant location.
