“Vancouver visit”

We felt the hotel was in a very good location. We found the matress to be very hard and I have a back problem so it was not good for me. We were there during a cold period with wind and the front door on the inside was not closing in the lobby. It was freezing in the lobby for a good hour or more.

“Looking forward to my next stay!”

No complaints whatsoever! Everything was perfect...hotel location, clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit!

“No Parking!”

Very impressive hotel overall however no parking included was fairly pricey per day. Food was good but very expensive. We had better at the Marriott in Providence RI just a week ago for a third of the cost. Would go back for location and comfort. Hopefully they can rectify the parking and food situation. No discount for guests !!! Parking really should be included.

You need to stay in the few blocks surrounding the hotel as you don't have to go too far to be in undesirable neighborhoods.

“Great Downtown Location!”

Our family really enjoyed this downtown Vancouver hotel -- safe area, large clean room, bright underground parking. We walked to several waterfront destinations (Olympic Flame, Marina, Sea Wall, Canada Place, cruise-launching area, waterfront restaurants, grocery stores, etc.). The hotel also had a handy check-in kiosk that printed airline boarding passes for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Downtown waterfront area, Stanley Park, English Bay, Capilano area.
When to go
Summers in Vancouver are comfortable -- approx. 25 degrees, sunny, and dry! Anything seafood is freshly caught and well-priced. The beaches around English Bay are wide and go on for miles!

“Very child friendly”

Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Sun Sui Wah Restaurant - Fantastic Alaskan King Crab (get it with the garlic sauce) and Squab. Very expensive but well worth it. Even children with picky appetites loved the food.
Family-friendly activities
The Aquarium in Stanley Park, Granville Island Kid's Market, the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain.

“Excellent”

“a vancouver delight for convention attendees”

this hotel turned out to be much closer to the convention centre than expected, just a block, and had great views, comfortable large room and great service. within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and nightlife

“It has a nice location and nice view to the harbour”

Good location but bed was uncomfortable. hotel room was clean and elevator is safe with nice swimming pool , sauna and steam room I think I'll go back and recommend the hotel to friends.

“Where's the Parking?”

The Marriott Pinnacle Hotel is located in a great spot, not too far away from many of the great things to do downtown. But who ever heard of a hotel without their own parking lot? Strange you can self park and feed the meters in Vancouver, maybe it's an Canadian thing, eh? Staff was very helpful and professional. Was a bit disappointed that they could not give me a room with a King bed as I requested. Had to settle for two queen size beds that were small for two persons. Other than that, had a great time in the hotel and city. Hate those parking meters.

Area recommendations
Gastown and Robson Street was fun. Stanley Park is a must see, plan on spending a few hours if you have the time. Capilano Suspension Bridge is also a great place to visit, so beautiful! Great time walking in the forest, but you're so close to the city. Stay away from Chinatown. Coming from Gastown to Chinatown was a real adventure. Lots of homeless and shady characters.
