“Great boutique hotel”
I was pleasantly surprised by the Listel. I wasn't sure what the hotel would be like, I chose it because it was where my seminar would be. Everything ranging from the French Press coffee delivered to the room on the first morning to the moving wire sculptures in the lobby far exceeded what I expected. Replacing the traditonal shower essentials like soap and shampoo with squirt dispensers took some getting used to though.
“Great Hotel, Great Location”
This is a great hotel in Vancouver, in a super location on Robson. Easy walking with shops all along Robson and the downtown only a few blocks away. The train from the airport is close by as are the train lines to other areas of greater Vancouver. Will definitely stay there again.
“Excellent!”
Nice people, great room, fair price, cool artwork!
“Tired room in good location”
This hotel really tries. The room, however, is tired and needs updating. The bathroom is old and carpet and furniture is worn. We liked the coffee service in the morning and had a charming lady there promptly each morning with our coffee and tea. The location is central however for the price - this in not a waterfront, newer hotel and in my opinion is overpriced. Parking was expensive too.
“OK Hotel, Good location”
The hotel was in a good location. The beds weren't very good (hard and you could feel the springs) and our room had a distinct body odor smell that didn't leave despite our window open and fan on entire time. Probably should have planned on the $30/night additional for parking that I wasn't expecting. If I was going back to Vancouver I'd try another place.
“Listel Stay”
Stayed for 4 days and my wife and I were extremely satisfied with the hotel, the friendly staff and the location. Would recommend to others.
“2nd Stay at hotel & not the last”
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Listel & we really like the location & service provided by this hotel. We had arrived from Las Vegas, after staying in a 5 star resort there. We found it great to be acknowlegded as a person rather than one of the thousands staying in a 7000 room hotel. We have family in Vancouver, but prefer to be independant and stay in the Listel. Would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Vancouver.
“Not enough bang for your buck !”
I was disappointed by a few things at this hotel...a tiny museum floor room that cost quite a bit had no bathrobes, a very utilitarian 1970's style bathroom and one piece of art near the elevator (that makes it a museum room ?). The hotel advertises itself as something pretty special...service was good, but there was nothing outstanding about this hotel.
“Would stay again”
Overall quite a good hotel with the attached restaurant playing good jazz.
“Great little hotel but get the upgraded room”
This was my second time at Listel. I really liked my first stay in the upgraded room. They had a free coffee/tea service delivered every morning and a nice little lounge in a bay window. This time I ended up in a lower priced room and missed the tea service, the flat screen, the larger bathroom (sink separate from the shower area) and extra sitting area. The standard room had an "older feel", more wear on the furniture, cracks in the bathroom fixture and such. The important stuff like the comfortable bed and cleanliness were still there. Otherwise, its a great hotel. Quiet, excellent service, great jazz club/restaurant downstairs and afternoon free wine gatherings. Its on the best part of Robson street near all the great restaurants and stores. About a 6 block walk to bicycle rentals, a Safeway and Coal Harbor and Stanley Park.
