“A place to stay when at the end of a trip you want rest”

Nice room, clean close to airport free bus. You fell good with the hotel

“Could use some updating”

We stayed at the Sandman on our way to a vacation in Mexico and on our return to Vancouver. It was convenient because of the location and the free shuttle service to the airport. However, the room the first time was very small and with the amount of luggage we had with us, we found it quite difficult to manouvere around the room. When we returned a week later, we told the front desk that we would need a larger room this time. There was not one available for us. They did give us a voucher for a free breakfast at Moxies's. One of the two elevators was broken this night, and there was a large line up for the other one.Waited over 10 minutes before we could get up to our room. The rooms are pretty basic, good enough for a quick stay before catching a flight.

“Slow Slow Slow - not impressed as an Airport Hotel”

Slow to check in, really slow to check out - do they not realise that we had a plane to catch and the breakfast - slow service - there were only two other tables being served and loads of Staff but it took nearly 30 minutes for our breakfast to arrive even though we told them we had a plane to catch. Reception so slow whe checking out. Dreadful.

“Great airport location”

Within 10 minutes of Vancouver International, and with free shuttle service every half hour. We arrived 2 am., were given an upgrade room and very understanding front desk staff. In site, attached, restaurant - again very convenient.

Area recommendations
River Rock Casino close by. Downtown Vancouver via the Canada Line rapid transit.

“Nicer hotels nearby”

We stayed here 2 nights, then left our car for a park and cruise experience. The hotel needs updateing. It could be more inviting. The coffee shop is not great, the rooms are drab.

“Good service, close to the airport.”

We were impressed that they paid for a taxi to take us to the airport because we needed to be there earlier than their free shuttle service started. Having Moxie's Grill onsite was also a plus. Room was adequate.

“It was nice, would stay again”

Getting to it was confusing at first but it was above average and the staff was friendly.
