Diva at the Met - The hotel's award-winning restaurant has a 600-entry wine list. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it specializes in contemporary Canadian cuisine using fresh, seasonal regional ingredients. “Couldn't have been happier”
We stayed here twice, on our way in to Canada and before we headed out. On both occasions they let us check in when the flight landed, as early as 8:30am the first time. After 18 hours travelling, that was so greatly appreciated! Our flight home didn't leave till nearly midnight. They let us check out late, leave our baggage for the day, then let us use their gym showers to freshen up before we headed to the airport. I would not hesitate to stay with these guys again.
“Great location in Vancouver”
The location of this hotel is great - a few blocks from Canada Place and conveniently located for local transport (two stations to the airport are nearby). The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable and will do their best to help you make the most of your stay. Please be aware though that being in the city means you will hear traffic, etc no matter which floor you're on so if you're a light sleeper be prepared!
“Great Stay!”
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend away. Loved the location, the staff was great and the room was clean. Would totally stay here again.
“location! Location! Location!”
We were very impressed with the hotel. The location was excellent. It was handy to our venues for the grey cup. The Skytrains were a short block or less away. Would definitely stay there again. Staff were very friendly. Always a doorman available to open the door. When you called the front desk, they addressed you by your name. It was a real live person I spoke to for a wake up call not a recorded message. Huge bathroom.
“Nice and cozy”
The location is excellent. Service was friendly and accommodating. Room was small, but the available space was used very efficiently so that it did not feel small. I would stay here again.
“A nice room with easy access to downtown Vancouver”
The hotel and the room were completely comfortable and good. The room was clean with an excellent corner window view. Everything that I could see was well maintained. I liked the Ipod ready radio, but wish they had a little more thru-put in their wireless service. Very nice and pleasant place to stay.
“Best hotel to stay at in downtown Vancouver!”
Hotel & staff was excellent to us during our stay! Can't wait to stay here again! Hotel location was excellent to everything from shopping, transportation, restaurant, clubs & convenient stores. Staff were always friendly & helpful. Wifi was fast & free. I stayed in a deluxe room w king size bed on 10th floor facing Pacific Center. Great view from our balcony. Not too noisy. Only needed a fridge in our room for drinks that were bought but ice machine is jus down the hall. There's also gym, jacuzzi & sauna on 3rd floor but didn't check it out cuz didn't bring appropriate clothing. Beds & linens were super comfy!
“Nice hotel”
Everything was excellent at the hotel except one thing. The food in the restaurant was excellent, although on the fancy side of things. The service of the staff was great. The room was comfortable and the clean. The only drawback was the wifi signal which would keep dropping out. Since we were traveling up from Seattle for an overnight, I didn't bring my laptop (which could have used the hard wire ethernet). We had our cell phones, but roaming charges are insane, so we needed to use wifi wherever we could. Obviously, the hotel was our base of operations to search for places to go and things to do, but with the spotty internet, it made it impossible to use "traditional" (are smartphones traditional yet?) means and we resorted to using "archaic" communications by asking the concierge (who was very helpful) - how retro! (lol) Highly recommend and would go again.
“Nice Hotel in the City Center”
The Metropolitan is nicely situated right in the center of Vancouver. Service is good, price a bit high but not too bad. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
“Exceptional!”
I travel extensively for business and this hotel, like it's counterpart in Toronto, is exceptional. I wish we had locations in the states.
