Right off the Canada Line and able to access the Expo/King George lines of the Skytrain, this hotel is prime for downtown location while still giving you access to the further reaches of the metropolitan area. The staff are great, the elevators (five of them) prioritise access for the fastest way to different floors.
What a great oasis in the heart of it all. The rooms are super chic with very comfy beds, sleek bathrooms a little sitting area and flat screen tv and nesspresso coffee maker at your command. The Burrard has taken motor hotel to cool new heights with just the right amount of mid century modern inspired design and comfort.
Our family (2 children, 2 adults) stayed at The Best Western Plus Chateau Granville for 2 nights the weekend of Dec.12-13.
We usually stay closer to Rogers Arena and am SUPER glad we decided to stay here!! It is a short walk off the local downtown transit from the skytrain/bus route at The Bay. Our children had never really walked down/around Granville area so it was different (in a good way) for them to experience that. We were able to check in early which was nice as we had a hockey bag and other luggage. We also had the option to store our bag if the room wasn't ready. The room was spacious, clean and was nice to have a little living room area. The front desk was helpful and throughout our stay engaged with our children about what we were doing and if they were enjoying themselves. It was nice to walk but there was a bus stop right outside to the left of the hotel for quicker access to downtown. I can't wait to go back here and stay and will only stay at this hotel from now on! A great location, great transit access, polite staff, clean rooms and the price was very good. I should add that there are lots of different eating options up and down Granville for convenience.
Free parking in downtown Vancouver- gluten free bread as an option for toast! Waffle maker! Jelly beans in the evenings- great value for the price- DVD that guests can borrow- the kids loved staying here- my only complaint was the shower didn't drain very well while showering- other then that it was great! :)
We really enjoyed the stay here. Staff was friendly and nice, neighborhood was great and close to buses that got you all over the city. Several of us stayed here and we would all stay again in a heartbeat. If I came back to Vancouver I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
