“Great Hotel in a Great Location”
Hotel is exactly where you would want to be located. The rooms are extremely large, and they are fully equipped with all cooking facilities and equipment, with a supermarket close by. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
“Unexpectedly amazing!”
Managed a great rate on a larger room during Grey Cup weekend, arrived to find we'd been upgraded to a suite. Front desk staff helpful, courteous. Lots of other staff going about their jobs with a smile. Room was amazing - great views, decent condition. This is an older hotel that has been kept up and seems to be in a constant state of sprucing up in small ways. Only complaint: our water went off for a couple of hours mid-afternoon on the Saturday, no big deal but a warning would have been nice! And the water pressure in the shower was weak. Otherwise a great room in a great location at a decent price. We'll go back for sure!
“good location but could use some updating”
Lobby was obviously redone and looked great. Pool lacked heating when we were there but we went down to look and it seemed pretty grim down there - the area needed some updating. The room was clean and comfy, but the bathroom was quite small for 2 people. At night I was mkept awake by noisy people in the hall. Overall, it was sufficient for our purposes, but dont be fooled by the upscale lobby.
“Good value great location good food”
We found very friendly and supportive staff Clean and tidy well presented facilities Older style hotel well maintained and regularly upgraded We have stayed regularly over the past several years and have had no reason to change location. Excellent restaurant and caffe facilities have improved the hotel services The hotel is situated in a good area and is close to Robeson street and close to convenience facilities, theatres and social outlets. The hotel provides for different accommodation styles all good value and well serviced with good quality linen and bedding. Parking is available and we sometimes use the facility. It can be a little tight for space but is always available at a reasonable extra fee Look forward to staying again
“Great for the price!”
Up-graded to one bedroom suite without asking, on check-in. No heat at first, but house-keeping fixed problem right away. Cheerful desk clerk arranged later check-out, to allow us to do some local shopping. Would definately stay there again.
“Friendly Staff”
This is a very nice hotel in a great location but what sets it apart from other hotels is the genuinely friendly staff that I met through out my stay. I will rebook this hotel on future stays because of the great service.
“Not Impressed”
The lobby of the hotel is nice, but once you get into the room, the rooms are old and the bathroom is not well maintained. Worse yet, the hotel is next to a hospital, so you can hear ambulance sirens going on all night long, and there is nothing that the hotel can do about it.
“Good price and quality room”
The room was clean and quiet. The kitchenette was a bonus, and only suggestion would be to have enough silverware for 4 people, since it was a 2 queen bed room. Will return.
“Better deals out there”
This hotel has a great location, but it ends there. The pipes would knock at the worst times(as if any time is good). We asked to not have our room cleaned(by the door sign that stated so) on day 1, and on Day 2, no sign, but yet no cleaning lady. The shower temperature was impossible to regulate. The bathroom was not clean(crud on the toilet). I would look further next time. At the least, if you want to charge the price they do, at least throw in some parking or internet to make up for your many shortcomings.
“good location and incredible veiw”
we stayed in a large suite on the 29th floor overlooking Vancouver. positives were the veiw was breathtaking, everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute walk or $10 taxi, staff was approachable and very friendly and our rooms were very comforting. negatives were we had to pay $9 a day for in room internet, the 'hot water' was only 'warm water' in the morning and early evening and the room was so warm we had to keep the air conditioning on and bedroom window open. positives far outweighed the negatives.
