“Courmayeur's best hotel location”
This hotel is next door to the cable car, couldn't be in a better spot. There is a ski rental shop next to the cable car station as well which is great value and you get a discount if you're staying at the Hotel Jumeaux.
“Good choice”
Very well located - the ski lift is just behind the hotel. There is a little supermarket nearby and plenty of bars and restaurants. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. Delicious local yoghurt, fig and walnut bread, olive ciabatta (among plenty of other things) for breakfast.
“A short walk in ski boots is a good thing!”
On arrival at reception I was very surprised at how smart the hotel is for one rated as a 3 star hotel. The reception staff were very helpful and a porter showed us to our room in the annex building 100 metres from the main building. Our room was much bigger than expected with a sofa and seating area as well as a balcony, the sort of things you normally have to pay extra rates for. Best of all however was the fact that the cable car station was next door, a 30 second walk away, which is good at the start of the day and absolutely wonderful at the end of the day! Not only that, the ski hire shop was just across the road. The breakfast room in the annex was fine although the food was plain and simple. My only minor criticism would be that our room overlooked a busy road which was quite noisy with traffic, but overall it was an excellent location.
