The perfect hotel for Valencia

Posted 18-Oct-2014
The only thing missing from this hotel was view (at least from our room). However, since we planned to walk the city anyway, we didn't need one. Very relaxing and very helpful hostess. There is parking here, you park yourself and the entrance is very tight, but its much cheaper and much easier than a parking garage.

Great location but disappointing decor

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Location - wonderful. Staff helpful, friendly and courteous
Cons: Decoration in both rooms and common areas. Make it less dark and gloomy
Location: Old town, markets in both Colon and in the centre, the ceramics museum, the city of arts and science and of course the beach.
We had a lovely time in Valencia. We chose the hotel because of its location and that was perfect. All the staff we met were delightful and very helpful. They made us feel most welcome. What we didn't like at all was the decor/atmosphere/design of the hotel and the rooms themselves. It's a central city hotel so built around a well which meant that the light in the room was non-existant. To add to that the decor of the hotel was basically black, with nets around the doors. Everything was gloomy. The design of the rooms had obviously been driven by designers i.e.. no surfaces to put things on, poor lighting, poor shower i.e. over a bath. The colour schemes in the whole of the hotel were based on black. We wanted to rip the whole place apart and redecorate. Valencia is a wonderful light -filled city - the hotel should at least try and give that feeling inside in spite of it's structural problems.

Nice hotel, very close to the historical centre

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff, breakfast
Cons: Storage, lighting, privacy
Location: Close to the two main "squares", La Reina and Virgin. Lots of restaurants including many down side streets. Open top bus tours from La Reina.
The hotel was in an excellent position and the breakfast had a very good selection, including fresh fruit. Everything very clean and staff were pleasant and accommodating. The main downside were the rooms - the lighting was poor and there was little storage space - lack of drawers. The worst bit was that the bathroom lacked privacy. The glass side by the bath, although frosted, meant that the person in the shower could be clearly seen by the other person in the room. Having been into another room, they had a blind to deal with this situation and our room did not. The sliding glass doors into the bathroom meant a total lack of privacy - you may think this is not an issue as we shared a room, but for a group of women travelling together it was horrid. Because of the gap down the side of the door, we could see each other siting on the toilet!

Great central location. Helpful staff on reception

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: Lovely modern style.
Cons: Bit dark in corridors and reception.
Location: Near placa de reina, which is great for drinks, tapas and breakfast. City of arts & sciences is a must see. You can walk through the park to it.
Would stay here again, great base. Lovely rooms although a bit small. Room was lovely and quiet although hotel on a reasonably busy road. Helpful staff on reception.

Exceptional. Great hotel, staff and location!

Can't say enough good things about the hotel. Arrived too early to check in after a 16 hour journey and the staff cleaned a room early, recommended a place for breakfast while I waited and phoned me when my room was ready. Perfect welcome, perfect start. The rooms and bathroom were very nice. Boutique size, but that's the type of hotel. Don't want a smaller room, don't book a boutique hotel! Great value considering the rates too. Even the smell of the hotel was nice - the reception was so welcoming. Valencia was a great city. Plenty to see and do, with some really nice spots to eat. I'd recommend 4-5 days max though as a city break as I would have run out of things to do after a while...

Favorite hotel of our vacation

Posted 31-Aug-2014
The character of the hotel was perfect, the room was comfortable and decorated nicely, the staff was so kind and helpful and the location was excellent, just a short walk to restaurants and the cathedral. We would stay here again is we ever head back to Valencia.

A great place to stay in Valencia

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: Good value for money given its location and convenience.
Cons: Rooms are on small side.it would have been good to have more English channels available apart from CNN. Bathroom dividing wall needs to be more opaque
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent location for the Old Quarter, for buses to the beach, for the Colon metro which goes to the airport, for shopping (2 El Corte Ingles around the corner).Breakfast is excellent and goes on until 11am. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valencia.
