They were not supper nice when it comes to asking for good view or king size like other hotels, very nice building and rooms! Very fancy. some stuff were so nice with our baby they even gave her a toy :)

The hotel is just like any high rise hotel offers. Good view and nice location. 10 min to subway stop. However, suggest you to have dinner outside. We dined in their restaurant for dinner one night. The food is likely made by head up food pack. Considering that factor, the price tag is a bit overpriced.

Great Hotel, but odor is disconcerting
Overall, this hotel nice. Room was big. Although onsite parking was 20 Euro per night but convenient. Breakfast was not as good for 4-5 stars hotel. One biggest problem is that the hallway and room have odor like men’s cologne which gave my wife headache! The chain hotel in Almeria, Melia Alicante was even worst! The odor was so strong made us have headache, not very comfortable at all even the good plus side was the comfy of rooms! Hope to see this change especially the one in Melia Alicante because it was a beautiful place to stay all season with beautiful views. Great breakfast too! But the odor would chase people away with people who is very sensitive smell!

Room for improvement
On balance my stay at Melia Valencia was disappointing and not as good as it could have been. Regarding the positives, I can say that the hotel's customer service, cleanliness, quality of food served and general condition were very good, however their policies on the use of hotel amenities really leave much to be desired. Unlike the vast majority of other four or five star hotels I have ever stayed in, for some obscure reason it was not possible to visit the spa and use the sauna/steam room (etc) at Melia hotel without pre-booking some treatment(s) in advance. Even when you explain that you do not want a treatment as you may be allergic to certain ingredients and oils, access to the spa is still barred without a pre-booked treatment. I found this attitude highly irregular, obstructive and discriminatory. In every four or five star hotel I have stayed in, hotel guests are fully entitled and encouraged to use the spa facilities without such onerous conditions. The hotel may require guests to arrange a specific time slot for their visit, but they do not ask them to book a treatment as a prerequisite. Had I known that the hotel spa was not truly accessible then I would have just stayed elsewhere at another four or five star hotel, where it is. Melia should look to address this issue in future, to remove discriminatory obstacles to the use of hotel amenities that are perfectly commonplace for guests everywhere else. This would greatly improve guest perceptions of their stay.

Great hotel, clean rooms. Great gym. Pool area was clean, tidy and always somewhere to sit. Breakfast was varied and the restaurant clean and stylish with plenty of seating. Check-in took a while which was only small downside and one room not ready. But everything else great. Fab location with restaurants just doen the street and metro station for the beach trip.

It's an ok property. More for a business trip than a vacation. Not much in the direct area. Not even a store to get some water, sodas etc. Mini bar very expensive. Pool area small. Shower was very slippery.

Staff is very rude. Not willing to help or accommodate. My flight was changed and could not stay at Melia Valencia, rather needed to stay at Melia Madrid, staff did nothing to help but offered to loose the money or give it to someone else. Ended up having to book a new reservation and having to loose over €300. I did not ask for money back but rather a credit or a transfer. Terrible service.

Quick Trip
Good for a one night stay after a late arrival in Valencia. Amenities were nice (pleasant pool area, decent gym, hearty breakfast). The room could definitely use a refresh (broken mirror, uneven floor, furniture very worn and wobbly).

This property is nice upon entrance but the rooms need to be renovated. Unless you have a renovated room this is not a good experience. The AC is poor in the rooms and the hallways leading to the rooms are not air conditioned which is ridiculous.

Big problem is no air conditioning in hallways or elevator during the summer. I was on level 21, so the ride in elevator was torture. When I arrive on my level, it's still hot. Windows can't open. Swimming pool: dirty water, charging for covered lounge is excessive Breakfast: hams & cheeses look old. Vegetables: diced carrots were rotten

Fantastic
Brilliant hotel in every way. The staff at breakfast were amazing with my 2 children. Room was perfect. I’ve stayed in many 4-5 star hotels over the years and this is definite top 10%.
