“Great hotel”
Great hotel, in a really good location close to all attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The only bad point, would be that the gym was extremely hot, the air conditioning in this area of the hotel didn't appear to be working.
“Hotel review”
NIce hotel. Helpful staff.
“Hospes Palau De La Mar”
Very nice hotel in a good location, spa is particularly good and rooms are very comfortable
“Excellent hotel, great location”
The hotel is ideally situated to see all of Valencia, with the Metro 1 2 minute walk away. Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. They even speak good english, which as my spanish was non existent was helpful. Rooms were quite spacious and have a modern feel, housekeeping team are really excellent. The downside being that the two rooms we occupied, whilst pretty good; could have done with a touch of paint in some places. The pool is nice, with a sauna and steam room. Note that the pool is really a large jacuzzi, about 6m long and 2m wide. But nice to relaz in if there are only 4-5 people around. Most of the time there were just two of us there. Some attention to detail is needed here, some lights were not working around the pool and the fountain at the end of the pool was also not working. But still a lovely environment. Bar and restaurant was very good, but a little pricey. My most expensive meal on our last night was at the hotel (165 euros) for 4 people, two courses and one round of drinks. I would recommend that you talk to the hotel staff and they will guide you to some really good tapas bars. Overall a great place and I would stay there again.
“Something for the weekend? Try Valencia!”
Great hotel and great location - 3mins walk from metro station that connects with airport directly (25 min ride/2euro), 5 mins walk from old town, 25 mins walk through beautiful, shaded Turia Gardens to IMAX, Aquarium, Science and Arts museum complex near port - perfect. On the 95 bus route to both if you get fed up with the walk back too.
“Fallas - a burning experience!”
A really nice comfortable hotel with all the facilities expected and more including a spa. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel but everything looked good and well presented. The decor, modern dark wood and bare floors might not suit everyone but the bed was very comfortable and the location quiet, despite our arriving in the midst of the Fallas celebrations. The hotel is very clean and tidy in all repects. Parking at the hotel is expensive but there seems to be plenty of street parking in the vicinity - free and metered (8-14, 16-20). The main interests in Valencia are within 10-20 minutes walking distance. The city tour bus can be recommended to get one's bearings. The Fallas is a bizarre celebration where huge outlandish polystyrene sculptures (not paper-mache as some might claim!) are erected in many of the towns main squares and intersections. At the end they are ceremoniously burnt, with the fire brigade in attendance which is very necessary as they are extremely close to buildings - not to mention the onlookers! All this goes on with firecrackers, aerial mortars and firework displays. Be warned the kids just love tossing a firecracker or ten at the unsuspecting tourist!!!!!
“civilised stay in valencia”
lovely chic hotel, warm welcome big comfortable room with huge bed and luxury bed linen good central location within a 15 minute walk of central attractions did not get to use spa or swimming pool did not eat in restaurant would stay again
“would recommend”
My wife and I had seen a review in a travel mag. Lived up to and even exceeded expectations. Staff excellent, breakfast tried once and wonderful if a little expensive. Booked at very last minute but made the trip to Valencia even more enjoyable.
“great place to stay to experience valencia”
lovely hotel but maybe it was because it was off season that it was so lovely and quiet. Staff were very nice. Hire the bikes in Valencia....great way to explore. And get the metro from the airport...super cheap (dont even think about a taxi when it is this convenient). Get off at Colon station and the hotel is a 5 minute walk....
“Stay here!!”
We stayed here and had 2 rooms off the courtyard at the rear of the hotel. The staff and hotel itself are absolutely perfect. The gym is not well equipt, but did have 2 treadmills, small pool, sauna and steam room. We also had dinner in the al-fresco area at the back and were absolutely amazed. The fusion of flavors offered was great, cooked to perfection and ended up being meal of our whole holiday!! The price really wasn't bad either. Breakfast is a bit pricey, but if you come out of the hotel and turn left there is a great and cheap local place for breakfast - you will see the Iberian ham hanging on the wall (open weekdays only). I must mention the staff again. They were all so attentive and helpful. We asked to change rooms as we were concerned about street noise, and this was no problem. There was an included turn down service in the afternoon and we really felt spoilt staying there. My fiancee and I do a lot of travel and very rarely find a place like this, so recommend this thoroughly to all.
