“The real Acta Atarazanas...”

We arrived at the hotel & immediately noticed that the exterior was oxidised & looked very worn unlike the pictures we had seen. We also noticed when going up to our room that the lift looked old, had a funny odour & the mirrors were dirty. The views from the room overlooking the plaza were lovely however the windows were filthy. The wardrobe was broken & did not open fully so we couldn't access the safe. Although clean, the room was in need of renovating. For the first 2 days of our stay, the room was cleaned to a high standard & smelt fresh however thereafter we noticed that the air freshener was no longer sprayed, the floor wasn't thoroughly swept & we found a dirty towel left by the cleaner in our bath tub on one occassion. The cleaning standards were far from impressive! We only found one unused plug behind the TV & had to unplug it if we wanted to charge both our phones which was a bit impractical. The bed/pillows were very comfortable but he church bells situated on the plaza were quite loud. The breakfast buffet had a good variety; fresh fruit,cereals,scrambled eggs,bread/toast,pastries... The roof terrace was quite small but the views were lovely! Although we did enjoy our stay, I would only recommend this hotel if like us, you are planning to spend most of your day out & just need a hotel which offers an excellent location. Don’t go by the pictures shown on the site as they are quite misleading (apart from the ones of the rooms). It's not a 4* hotel.

“Great location for everything.”

Trip: Valencia, 4 days, May 2011. The hotel Acta Atarazanas was very well situated, 5 minute walk from metro station Grau - Canyamelar which is on a main line taking you to the city centre via Maritim- Serreria. This same line also has takes you to the airport, which is very convient for 2.80euros per person. The metro is frequent, clean and very easy to use. The hotel was a 5-10 minute walk from the port and beach Playa de Levante which is huge and has great restaurants all along the front. Hotel was also 15-20min walk from centre of arts and sciences which is spectacular and well worth a visit. The F1 track is also pretty much outside of the hotel. The location was also great as it was just out of the city so was not too loud at night and looked out over a lovely courtyard and church. The hotel itself boasts very friendly helpful staff, who spoke good English and provided maps for the city. Our deal included unlimited free WIFI which was great and a buffet breakfast which offered a lot of choice and fresh food. The rooms were very light and airy, but were possibly a bit worn and could do with a lick of paint here and there, however the cleaners did a great job everyday. I would very much recommend this hotel purely because of the location and the helpful staff.

“Good location but not 4*”

We chose this hotel for its location - only 10 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins to the Port. From the pictures the hotel looked really trendy and modern. It is, but it's clear that they have not paid attention to maintenance of the rooms. Hooks and handles were loose, paint was cracking in the bathroom and TV didn't really work. I'd recommend this hotel purely for the price and location but don't expect it to be 4* quality.

“Ok”

The hotel was in a questionable area, a little uncomfortable with homeless people sleeping right in the plaza out our window. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice. The room was modern and clean.

“Tolle Lage & guter Service”

Der Service im Hotel ist zuvorkommend & man erhält viele nützliche Tipps für Ausflüge an der Rezeption. Hier kann man auch direkt Tickets für verschiedene Attraktionen erwerben um lange Wartezeiten vor Ort zu vermeiden. Die Sauberkeit ist soweit auch in Ordnung, lediglich ein, zwei Haare im Bett, dreckige Fensterdichtungen & leichter Staub im Schrank. Der Zustand meines Zimmers war gut, nur eine klemmende Schranktür und ein Sprung im Bild waren zu bemängeln. Die Lage & Umgebung des Hotels ist sehr angenehm. Es liegt 5 min entfernt vom Strand & dem Hafen. Außerdem sind in unmittelbarer Nähe Bäckereien, Supermärkte, Banken, Cafés & Restaurants. Die Metrostation von der man in die Innenstadt gelangt ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

“Troppo lontano dal centro”

Hotel carino,assolutamente da non considerarsi 4 stelle.Vicinissimo al porto,lontano dal centro.Ci sono stato ad Aprile e la serera un mortorio lì in zona.Niente di che anche la colazione.Per visitare la città consiglierei un hotel nel centro.

è stato un bel viaggio e nel complesso hotel buono. vicino dal mare e soprattutto fermata dell'autobus a due passi. sia per andare al centro che al mare. colazione buona. l'unica cosa la vasca jacuzzi non era molto curata. consiglio vivamente questo albergo anche alle famiglie.

“Z.Zt. nicht zu empfehlen”

Durch Besitzerwechsel kurz vor unserem Aufenthalt lief nichts rund: zu wenig Personal, Zimmer erst ab ca. 16 Uhr gereinigt, kein Barbetrieb (weder im Foyer noch auf Dachterrasse, welche den trostlosen Eindruck des Hotels verstärkte), keine hoteltypischen Infos (Frühstückszeiten, Tel.Nummern etc.) auf den Zimmern, keine Klobürste im Bad, Absaugung im Bad funktionierte nicht und als Krönung eine nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage. Auf zahlreiche Reklamationen erfolgten leere Versprechungen, bis man uns dann, 1 1/2 Tage vor Abreise, einen Hotelwechsel anbot, den wir wg. der noch verbleibenden Verweilzeit ablehnten. Personal war bemüht, aber leider nicht in der Lage, etwas an dieser Situation zu ändern.
