We had two rooms - the Executive room for my husband and myself and a Superior room for our two teenagers. The communication from the hotel about our room being ready and about a spare bed was much appreciated. The staff was the most professional we encountered throughout our stay in Spain. The rooms designs were modern, sleek and they were immaculate. Beds were comfortable and bath products were Bulgari. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit Valencia (yearly). They have a small bar off the lobby- you can drink inside or out on a little patio. The location couldn't be better for walking in the heart of the city and to the best restaurants.
The staff team at this hotel set it apart from most of my recent European hotel experiences. They see their role to enhance the stay of their guests, not just to robotically fulfil processes. We had a number of challenging travel issues during our stay and the front desk team cheerfully supported us and followed up on queries, allowing us to get out and about in Valencia. The staff attitude extended to room service and cleaning staff too. Truly a gem.
Love this place! The room was very spacious and comfortable for 2 people, especially the bathroom. The location was great as it was walking distance to Barrio del Carmen and lots of great restaurants, bistros and shopping. We would definitely come back!
Hotel Dimar is very well located for access to many of the sights of Valencia and a 5 minute walk to Colon metro station which connects with most lines. the surrounding neighbourhood is well-served for restaurants, bars and shops. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Everything about the hotel was first rate apart from two things. We were disappointed by the breakfast, which we decided to have the first morning, whilst we got our bearings. We felt it was not worth the cost and advise going out for breakfast-places nearby. We were also unlucky to have a room with a connecting door, which meant we could hear the guests in the next room, so we talked quietly during our stay but they didn't and they got up earlier than us!!
Pocket Guide: Valencia Valencia City Centre Hotels
Valencia's Old Town is located in the heart of the city and is a vibrant cultural center with a lively social scene. The winding lanes of Barrio del Carmen are extremely popular, peppered with trendy shops and buzzing cafes that come alive in the evenings. Views of the city can be enjoyed at Valencia Cathedral's Micalet Tower, while two striking gates serve as a reminder of the medieval city wall.
