Beautiful hotel in small hill town. Newly renovated from the looks of it. Great garden area to sit and relax in. Big room, furnished with antiques. Big breakfast, afternoon tea. Awesome town with great garden(built 1500's) and original town wall. Not overly touristy yet, very close to the popular hill towns.

One of the best trips of my life, and half of that is because of how amazing the hotel is. Swam in the thermal pool everyday - it's open all day all night, but the bar closes early. Room service and the food was excellent. The views were beautiful. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Spa was great, we both got a deep tissue massage. Overall 10/10!! Definitely going to try to get back here one day.

We stayed for three nights in July, arriving by car. We spent our days exploring Tuscany & Umbria and our evenings in Pienza after the daytrippers had left town. You can drive up to the hotel to drop off bags and then go search for parking outside the walls. It has a garden with fabulous Tuscan views where breakfast is served The rooms varied. One of us had an extra sitting room; the other room was dark and rather cramped. There were only stairs to our rooms. A/C was marginal, compared to our other hotels. They could use more staff -- be prepared to wait for assistance at the front desk. When we arrived, we were not told that we would need to pay cash because of technical problems with credit cards. On the positive side, the location is excellent for walking around Pienza which we thought was charming. Breakfast staff were very helpful. Hotel wifi was excellent. There are plenty of places inside and out to lounge. We would recommend it with appropriate expectations.
I cried when I first saw the views from our windows. Spacious, kitchen ready for making breakfast.
Staff was accommodating. We fell in love with the lady of the house. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Most magnificent view you will want in a stay in Tuscany. Clean facility, friendly staff, very helpful and professional. The hotel is in a quiet corner of a quiet town and your time by the pool will make you forget the hustle and bustle of civilization. Choose the rooms with the mountain slope view if possible. The breakfast is excellent and gets you off to a great start each day. The room itself is well kept and clean, the only odd thing is that there was no shower curtain in the bath, makes for a bit of a mess for the bathroom floor. Normally it would have been an issue but somehow, being in the middle of the Tuscan mountainside makes you forgiving of the small things. Stay here!

Although room was good our balcony overlooked the car park. Upon asking if we could change we were told yes, for another €40 per night!!!! Although the main part of the hotel overlooked the Tuscan hills (beautiful) we thought the extra charge was not acceptable.

A mile or so out of Montalcino is this agritourismo hotel. It was a farm house built in 1800's overlooking acres of country and vineyards. Was perfect for what we were looking for. Very nice staff, very quiet, clean and comfortable. I would recommend and return.
The carefully cultivated hills south of Siena culminate in Tuscany’s highest peak, the extinct volcano Monte Amiata (1,738 metres). Fortified villages crown the hilltops: most enticing is timeless little Montalcino, famed for its Brunello wines and 14th-century fortress. San Quirico d’Orcia’s showpiece is its Collegiata church with Romanesque portals. Pienza, remodelled by Pope Pius II, is a perfectly preserved Renaissance city.
