“Best 4 Star Hotel option to stay near Paris”

“great hotel with a few caveats”

The good. Cool Design, with lots of things updesigned from normal hotel details. Our room had everything we needed with a few clever touches. The hotel bar was great, and we had some reasonably priced beer with some chaps from London. There's a store in the lobby w/relatively reasonably priced water, meals & necessities at similar or better prices than you will find as a tourist in Paris. Very good breakfast, w/ crepes, juices, pancakes, pastries, cheeses, some cold cuts, cereals, & of course all the Nutella & pan au chocolat you care to eat. Very soft beds. The bad. budget at least an hour each way to get to paris and back every day. We came across one day when the RER wasn't running all the way to Paris & it took us over 2 hours by public transport to get into the city, plus another half hour to get to where we were going. Got a taxi to the airport, using the hotels recommended driver. He ripped us off pretty huge. 10 euro on the meter before we even got in the cab, although the standard rate is 2.80 euro. He charged us from the time he left his station. Dropped us off at the wrong terminal, going past the right one and picking up a fare at the terminal he dropped us off. Not the hotel's fault per se, but it's the type of character they have chosen to do business with. Cost us >72 euro (abt 100 USD) to get to the wrong terminal. Overall I would recommend it over a more expensive Paris hotel, just keep the caveats in mind. If you can't work around them it won't work for you.

Getting around

beware of hotel's preferred taxi driver, ripped us off, 10-15 minute walk to RER station when its running. busses are sparse but do exist.

Nightlife

Hotel bar is good and inexpensive and with free pool tables, but it does all shut down at 2200 hrs.

“Paris Besuch leider mit Hygiene Mängeln”

Meine Freundin und ich hatten das Hotel für Weekend gebucht. (Städtereise Paris). Von aussen wirkt es schick. Von ihnen ebenfalls. Jedoch lässt die Hygiene auf den Zimmer zu wünschen. Das erste Zimmer wurde direkt gewechselt, da Intim-Haare und Kopf-Haarer in der Badewanne lagen und der Klo-Deckel und das innere verdreckt waren. Auf den Hinweis, dass das Zimmer verdreckt seie, wurden wir ein wenig belächelt und es wurde ein Mitarbeiter noch oben geschickt zur Prüfung. Seine Meinung: Alles ok. darauf hin bat ich 3 Mitarbeiter nach oben zu gehen und sich das anzuschauen. Und sie waren nicht gerade schockiert - scheint normal zu sein. Uns wurde ein weiteres Zimmer gegeben. Dieses war sauberer, aber man merkt das heir nur oberflächlich geputzt wird.

“encore un petit effort”

L'hôtel est original dans son concept, mais si nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit, cela a été suffisant pour en conclure que bien des points méritent d'être revus. Le bruit tout d'abord, amplifié par l'architecture ne permet pas de se reposer le matin, mieux vaut se préparer a se lever tôt. Ensuite les chambres sont sommairement nettoyées, mieux vaux ne pas déplacer les meubles pour ne pas avoir de mauvaises surprises (mégots, serviettes en papier sales etc....). Enfin, le point critique a améliorer d'urgence: le petit déjeuner: le manque de personnel impose l'attente au self, les œufs, pan-cakes etc...se font à la commande. Dommage, dommage, l'espace est certes froid, moderne..mais il change de ce que l'on trouve dans les chaines habituelles. Pour résumer, hôtel très moyen bien en deçà de que nous espérions.

Les + : - appartement spacieux avec tout le confort. - Literie très confortable. - Espaces sécurisés (intérieur et extérieur) pour des enfants Les - : - Cours intérieure fermée bruyante (soufflerie et musique trop forte) - Service du petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur, pour les raisons suivante : * Beaucoup d'attente * Pas assez de bols, couverts (nous avons dû attendre que la vaisselle soit faite (pour les 2 petits déjeuner) * Rupture de lait ou café etc...réactivité trop lente * Personnel de service limite aimable, visiblement agacé par les nombreuses réclamations
