My favorite thing about this condo, besides the gorgeous windows, and the convenient location, was that the owners had thought of every single thing a renter could possibly need during their stay. We've stayed in dozens of rental properties all over the US, and we are accustomed to purchasing all the little "extras" upon arrival. Not so here. This condo had everything - spices, olive oil, extra paper products, shampoo, a Brita filter, a humidifier, a fan, curling irons, ziplocks, cleaning supplies, pots, pans and cookware of every size and shape - more than I can even list. Usually vacation condos have the bare minimum, but staying here felt like staying in someone's home. It made the trip more enjoyable, and saved us time and money. The owner was responsive and friendly when we called. We hope to return to Vail this summer, and definitely plan on staying here again. Thanks so much to the owner for providing such an awesome vacation condo!

The condo is cozy and very clean. It is right on the Sandstone bus loop making it very easy to get to and from the Vail Transit Center and access to the gondola.

Close to shuttle stop
The cond unit is worn out. The carpet is old, looks dirty. Most of the pots and pans in the kitchen are in poor condition. Our unit 107 is steps away from the shuttle stop, so very convenient. Price wise, it is okay, but definitely not a enjoyable stay.

To the contrary, this condo unit has actually been recently updated with carpet, new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, tile flooring, and is the only negative commentary ever received on this particular condo unit. Although this particular traveler was going to be impossible to please, I believe we represent a great value in an otherwise pricey ski-town.

Great value for a ski vacation
We stayed for six nights. There were three of us, my wife and teenage son. It is an older Condo but had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and had free high speed cable WIFI. This is a great option for a family that is there to ski. We sat on the deck (only two person) and had drinks overlooking the mountain a couple of nights. It was only about 1/2 block from the free city bus to the slopes so we didn't need to pay for parking. It was great for our vacation and saved us over a $100 a day compared to some of the other alternatives we were looking at. I would stay there again.

Affordable Option for Skiing Vail
Condo has two bedrooms upstairs - one with a queen bed, one with three single beds. Small kitchen, bathroom, and living space on the ground floor. Condo has all of the basic amenities needed for a stay, but nothing fancy. Unit is priced reasonably to what it offers. I would not recommend having 5 adults stay here -- it would be very cramped. We were comfortable with 3 adults. Best part of condo is easy access to ski mountain - Sandstone Route (Purple) shuttle picks up/drops off right in front. It snowed two days during our stay --- condo stairs and walk were shoveled each morning and the steep driveway is heated so that was not a problem. Great place to stay if you are looking to spend more of your time on the mountain (vs. hanging out in the condo).

old condo with no up-keep
We arrived at late evening and did not see everything until next morning. At first we were a little disappointed that the condo did not have an elevator and we were assigned to 3rd floor. As we walked in to the unit we realized it was an old unit but felt that was o.k. since we are not paying top price. As I was unload the groceries I realized that freezer was still dirty and a couple of shelves were missing from the refrigerator. When I opened a dish washer there was a used fork in the utensil basket unwashed. I wondered if I had made a mistake to book this place by then. Next morning as I was trying to prepare our breakfast, I looked into pantries searching for pots and pans and realized they were flimsy and very poor qualities and conditions,. One pot even had handles upside down. When I pulled out dishes to serve food I realized about half of dishes were chipped or scratched and mis-matched. I felt like we were in a ghetto not an resort. I did not expect to see everything at top class but at least a decent and clean enough to eat the meals. We ate the meal but it was very de-appetizing. I felt it was shame for Expedia to list this kind of place on your website. After the breakfast we decided to leave the place..

I completely disagree with many things stated by this unhappy traveler. The condo was inspected and well cleaned prior to their arrival. Dishes and utensils were clean and in good supply. We cannot hope to supply a gourmet set of all pots, pans and utensils to fit everyone's particular needs. I object to this person's characterization as "ghetto," as many satisfied guests have stayed in this same and unit and even requested it for return visits. We cannot hope to meet the "perfectionist" needs of such individuals as this.

Guys ski trip
condo was 3 flights up, rickety bunkbed so mattress on top was placed on the floor, only 1 bathroom which was located downstairs with 3 of us upstairs, nice view, close to shuttle
Response from Dave on 18 Feb 2017
The bunkbed in this unit is of sturdy welded metal frame construction is certainly not "rickety," and has been used by many in the past without issue. As this party of 4 booked themselves into a 1 bedroom type condo, they should not have been surprised that there was only one bathroom and rather tight sleeping arrangements.

Nice place, large loft.
Place (B312) was a bit older but clean, nice, and comfortable. Too far to walk to the slopes, but the bus stop was close by and a short ride to the pedestrian bridge. Condo is located on a hill, so had to walk down stairs to the main road and the bus stop. I really liked the two room loft. Owner was very accommodating and responsive.

Great value, but a bit on the small size.
Only negative is that there's no washer and most importantly a dryer for our wet ski gear. The heat kicks there so that alone kept out gear dry for the next day. Close to the bus. And thank God for uber in the evenings!

Great location
We had B209 which was a great location for the bus stop (down the steps and turn left) for the free bus inot Vail Village. Not far from a pizza shop which was an awesome pizza. Unless we didn't suss it out correctly Safeway/ City Market were a bit of bus ride trek away (had to go to Vail Village and then change buses). Lots of information leaflets in the apartment which were handy. The Bustang was a great way of getting from Denver to Vail and was only $17 each way!

Cheap alternative in expensive town
We stayed in Building B (top floor). It provided us with a wonderful view of the slopes. We only had a short walk down a flight of stairs to the bus stop. The free bus ran every 30min (20min in peak times) to take you downtown the slopes. The condo basically had everything we needed for our stay. Some condiments were left in the cupboard I am guessing from previous guests. Free wi-fi worked fairly well, and there was a wide selection of tv stations. The location was very quiet. Wake-up call was around 6.30am when the stairs were cleared of snow and the plower soon after to clear the car park. Car parking was free but really there is no need for a car at all. Safeway and Wal-mart are only a short bus ride away to stock up on groceries.

Nice little place, perfect for 2 people. Cannot imagine more than 2 crammed in. Found black hair in the bath tub when we arrived, but other than that the place was clean. Kitchen very small but again, ok for 2 people.

Great for the money!
We were in room B302 and really loves our condo! It was very home like, and had a very community feel to it with a hodgepodge of dishes and utensils and a grouping of leftovers from other guests such as sugar packets, coffee, coffee filters, etc.... The parking is free which is awesome! If you have people with you have them MAKE SURE to park in the Homestake parking... Not anywhere else bc they too cars VERY QUICKLY AND EXCESSIVELY for parking in the wrong spot at other condos.... Enjoyed it! Will definitely stay again!

you get what you pay for!
This is one of the lowest priced condos to rent in Vail. And I received what I paid for. Basically, the unit was well equipped and stocked with kitchen utensils, plenty of clean towels and most surfaces were clean. However, there were areas that had piles of dust, everything was worn, and comfort was marginal. The bathroom was along an outside wall and was very cold. Likewise, the front door leaked cold air. The bed, pillows, and blankets were typical of a budget hotel. If you want a basic and inexpensive condo in a very expensive resort such as Vail, then this is it!

Great condo for the price!
The condo was great! It's fairly outdated but there's enough kitchen stuff to allow cooking in for a couple of days saving us some money. The size is big enough for 3 of us and the location is not bad at all. You have to wait for a few minutes for the bus but if you time it right, you dont have to wait too long... The view from the balcony is fantastic and you can walk around the area with no problem...

Condo Home
After staying in a motel-like lodge in another city for 4 days, this condo was a wonderful and welcome change. It had a very private balcony, spectacular views of the mountain, made breathtaking by the 16-foot floor to ceiling windows. The condo was decorated in a charming colorado+ski style with old wooden sleds, skis and skates adorning the walls. The two sofas were ultra-cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots and utensils for an impromtu dinner party for 4. The bedroom (Queen + single bed) was in the loft above, easily accessed by a staircase. It had plenty of storage and views of the living room below and balcony and mountain outside. The bus (comes every 20-30 minutes) to the pedestrian bridge was just a few steps from the complex. I also walked on nice days to the Vail villages, about 20 minute downhill walk. The last day I discovered the North Trail, about 1/4 mile uphill from the condo and took a lovely hike up the mountain. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel limpio y barato
El costo del departamento es bajo pero no es un lugar bonito y tiene complicaciones para acceder, como lo es la falta de un "front desk", así como falta de elevadores. Costo-beneficio está bien pero sugiero buscar mejores opciones.
