Convenient location for commute to London

Pros: The hotel seemed to have good facilities ( gym and swimming pool) but unfortunately due to a short stay,we were unable to try these out .
Cons: More lifts would be useful. The decor was out dated especially in the bathroom which looked a little worn. More food for the continental breakfast.
Location: The location was easy to get to from the motorway and was close to rail links to London.
A pleasant venue with very helpful reception staff.

Pleasant helpful staff, printed directions for me, offered me her personal I phone charger, room was good , night staff also very helpful and cheerful . I did not use any other facilities so can not comment on that

Prep for Heathrow

Pros: Setting is interesting rural but close to Uxbridge, Heathrow etc., Very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast finishing at 9.30am is ideal for the Business person but a bit early for the relaxing person!!
Location: The location is very quiet & I wasn't looking to explore.
My Daughter & I had time to kill so we were very happy that the Hotel has nice grounds

Disappointing

Pros: Golf course
Cons: Service, service, service. Also some solution for cooling ground floor rooms.
Location: N/A
The service in the bar and restaurant was very poor, long waits to be served although the bar wasn't very busy and the wait for bar snacks was over an hour. No air conditioning in the bedroom and no opening windows made for a poor nights sleep. Only positive was the golf course. Won't be staying here again!

Second Visit - Much Improve

Pros: Friendly staff, excellent room with French window access to the beautiful parkland
Cons: General decoration in need of refurbishment
We stayed at this hotel in June and gave it a poor rating; however, due to circumstances beyond our control we had to stay again for one night in July. I was not looking forward to the stay. However, following a complaint after the initial stay to the General Manager, we were offered an upgrade. The room was completely different - spacious and modern completely the opposite to our previous stay. Yes it was classed as a family room and so one would expect it to be bigger but it did not feel as though it had been dragged kicking and screaming from the 1960's like our previous room. Breakfast ha been very poor on our original stay but this time was excellent and good value for money. Perhaps we had just been unlucky with our initial stay or perhaps improvements occurred as a result of our complaint. Either way, we will be happy to return but will always upgrade to a family room!

Nice hotel, lovely breakfast, rooms a little noisy

Stayed overnight on a Friday. There was a wedding and a hen-do also staying. Rooms have fairly thin walls so it was pretty noisy at night- not to mention hot! Bed was comfy and we slept reasonably well (noise from other guests aside). Breakfast was plentiful and very nice. Would stay again - and take my swim wear next time to enjoy the rest of the facilities!

DeVere Hotel but not DeVere Quality

Cons: Needs a complete refurbishment. Better selection of food at breakfast.
Visiting my son, duaghter-in-law and grandson for the weekend, we booked this hotel because our usual PremierInn where you can pretty much guarantee the standard and quality was full. As it was De Vere, and we have stayed in De Vere on many occasions - St David;s Cardon Park, Oulton Hall, - we thought we would be guaranteed the same standard. Sadly we were very disappointed. The hotel needs a complete refurbishment. Paint was peeling off the walls and the rather ugly metal handrail on the stairs to the bedrooms, bedrooms looked as though they had not been refurbished since the sixties and the bathroom was very outdated. The room we stayed in was tiny. Breakfast was a good price but it was probably because there was very little to eat! A choice of 4 cereals, toast and full English was provided but there was no bread selection, no cold meats and cheese, only one type of Danish pastry - and these had run out. I had to ask for the supplies to be restocked on several occasions - this should be done automatically by the staff. Very disappointing! The room was clean but on our second night only one towel was provided. I did ask for another but it never arrived and so I raided the linen store myself. Staff were very friendly but all in all, a very disappointing stay and certainly not the De Vere standard I am used to.

Great little hotel

Had problems finding the hotel in the dark as it was down narrow lanes but eventually found it! Plenty of parking - rooms were slightly small but had everything we needed. Assumed towels would have been provided for the pool but they wernt. Staff very helpful!

Thanks for providing coffee and fruit for those of us that do not have time to eat breakfast. I also appreciated the restaurant, which provided a good dinner at very reasonable cost.i would love to come back
