Stayed for three nights so we could explore Lincoln. Our room was a superior room in the old building, directly opposited the cathedral. My husband needed extra pillows and a softer layer to lie on - no problem. The room and bathroom were clean and the shower powerful. Breakfast was a buffet with hot food cooked to order and very good. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant which was also very good.
We loved hearing the cathedral bells, so not a problem for us.
"Brilliant hotel Central to Lincoln. Beautiful loca"
Arrived to be greeted and helped with our bags straight to our room. The room had a beautiful view and was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was brilliant. All in all a lovely stay.

Boasting a superb location in the heart of this historical city, the impressive White Hart 3 star Hotel, Lincoln makes the …More
Booked this hotel as my daughter & I were visiting the University of Lincoln for an open day on the Saturday. Which is just across the river so we were able to walk, having parked our car in the hotel car park. Plenty of restaurants along the wharf & everyone is really friendly. Would definitely stay here again. We had a standard room with a king size bed, room was a good size and bed was comfy. There is also a Starbucks Coffee shop within the hotel which was handy for breakfast.
The location is excellent, being both on the main waterfront and within five minutes walk of the main shopping centre. Service was polite and efficient without being intrusive: front desk was helpful and though I only saw a member of the domestic staff once in four days, my room was always in perfect condition shortly after hanging the relevant sign on the door (though this may be just because of the usual time that I left). The room itself was very well appointed as well.
The bar had fantastic views and it was nice to be able to sit outside on the fifth floor. The range of drinks wasn't great but it seemed to be positioning itself more towards cocktails and what beers they had were good. This limited range was echoed in the hotel's facilities outside of the rooms for a non-business traveller: restaurant, bar and gym essentially. If you are looking for swimming pool, sports facilities, or a resort style stay this hotel isn't for you and I don't know if it's suited to children; I didn't see any during my stay but I visited in the second week of September, so that's no surprise. If however you want a comfortable, convenient place to stay it's hard to beat.

All the staff at the Holiday Inn express were very helpful and friendly. Couldn't fault them at all, other 4 class hotels could learn from them! The rooms were comfortable, the food delicious, and the parking easy. It is a quick walk into Lincoln from the hotel, and a short walk to Brayford Quays with numerous restaurants. Ideal for an overnight stay when visiting the university.
For the price I was not expecting the quality I got. The staff were amazing and a credit to the hotel, the room was a lot larger than expected, the bed was super comfy, the waterfall shower was amazing, the breakfast was cooked as requested, free parking and to top it all off free wifi! I will definitely be returning!
Great hotel staff from check in to restaurant and room servicing. Very pleasant surroundings with lovely grounds which include a spa, gym and small indoor pool. Standard double room was clean and had tea making facilities although as it is an old country house, there is no air conditioning but a fan was in the room which was great. Very nice breakfast from continental or full English so something for everyone!
