property is old, no renovations at all and not well taken care. the gym was ridiculous, dirty, no proper ac, no towels or water, if it's a covd issue, better to keep it shut

Too expensive for the service the hotel provides. Besides we (my wife and I) went with a little pet, 4 lbs, and the hotel charged 150 dollars for ¿? Our pet couldn´t walk leashed around the hotel. Out of the room the pet had to be in a cage. Can you explain us, which is the reason for the $150. We are not satisfied at all. Next time we´ll look for another real pet friendly facility.

Excellent property. Two comments: laundry priced in US dollars not Uruguayan peso (same $ symbol and increases cost by a factor of 30) and no USB ports provided in the rooms.

A la altura de lo esperado de sheraton.
Excelente servicio. El personal tiene un trato excepcional siempre intentando que uno se sienta cómodo. Las instalaciones muy buenas. Pileta climatizada con jacuzzi (que no se ve en las fotos). El hotel tiene acceso directo al shopping punta carretas con la tarjeta del hotel. Muy bueno todo.

Service from staff is excellent, breakfast also excellent. Windows dirty. Room design horrendously dull. Design appears to be aimed at lower middle managers from Cleveland, Ohio in the 1980s. Room renovations desperately needed.

Hotel needs a face lift.
Hotel looks run down... needs a face-lift. Old carpeting. Sheets not great. Very bad lighting in the public places.

Super comfortable hotel
A very good hotel. Typical Sheraton with Big rooms super comfortable bed soft feather pillows and a first class bathroom. All the amenities you could want. The pool and Sauna so welcome after a days exploring. The staff were friendly and well trained. Restaurant also to a very high standard. Everything as you would expect from Sheraton

Super Hotel
Typical Sheraton with all the quality that the name implies. Good rooms, comfortable bed with great facilities and with excellent service. A nice pool and sauna which was great after a days sightseeing. The restaurant food was exceptional although a tad pricey. Overall an excellent stay in a lovely city,

Montevideo Hotel
The Montevideo Sheraton is an excellent hotel in a great position adjacent to a shopping mall and close to some very nice restaurants. The Club lounge fro breakfast offers terrific views and I would recommend it as somewhere to stay in the city.

Since when I got there the staff told me that my room wasn t ready. But if i pay usd 60 per day i could upgrade to a better room and it was ready .since I was tired i accepted ut.

Business Hotel in Pubta Carretas
A staple, high quality hotel located in the Punta Carretas area of Montevideo. Staple high quality services and ammenities for a Sheraton Hotel. Be cognizant that check in for this hotel is 3pm, which does not align with many international arrival times. This hotel will not grant you early check-in (despite what they claim) and it will be necessary to reserve a hotel room for the previous night should you wish to avoid lounging around in the lobby for multiple hours until your room is ‘ready.’ On the day of departure, this hotel will also charge you for a late check out at a rate of $10USD/Hr, which I find somewhat annoying based on their hardline check-in policies.

Very comfortable stay
Very comfortable hotel, excellent fresh fruit for breakfast, next door to large shopping centre and supermarket, 2 minutes walk from rambla which stretches for miles in both directions. Only negative comment - you are given a password for secure wifi but it's impossible to connect.

you know what to expect
the good reliable comfy bed. great location in putta carrettas. easy access to most everything. staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was adequate. hotel could use some updating as it is starting to show its age. but i would repeat as you know what you will get with the brand.

I arrived to Hotel about 08:00AM, the reception said that my room is ready, but if I want to receive the room early I have to pay 120 USD extra (the daily price of the room was 165 USD...) Si I has to wait to receive the room until 03:00PM. Never in my life I have to pay for a free room to access early.... I leave the room at 08:00AM they didn’t offered me a return of 120 USD.....

Nice hotel close to the port. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant and provided us with several options of things to do for the day. The room was clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very nice with an assortment of juices, breads, cheese, meat, fruit and made to order omelettes.

Great reception and doorman staff. Very friendly and accommodating. The maid service was also friendly, but I didn't get complete amenities until the second week of my stay and chocolates for bedtime only twice out of ten days. The restaurant staff was not all that nice but the cook was wonderful, accommodating and friendly!! The rooms were quite dated and electrical sockets worn and dangerous. The room needs modernizing. The view was amazing and location great! Disappointed that swimming pool was inside only. The hotel is perfect for businessmen; not so much for women or vacation. Bathroom vanity with limited space for makeup.

Nothing good to say about this place. I cancelled my reservation and left the same day for a better hotel even though the first night was paid for. Not only the room was dirty and smelly, the view was blocked by a new building being build between the hotel and the beach. No more views unless you are on the top floors. (I was on a high floor and had no views) DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. For the same price, go to the Hyatt Centric. Larger room. New and better facility. with a real view on the beach and la rambla.

We stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights before moving on to Piriapolis and Punta del Este. It was so nice we came back to it on the return end of our trip. The staff are wonderful and all speak very good English. They were very helpful in giving us directions, recommendations, etc. The hotel has a breakfast that is the best breakfast I have ever had while travelling. It is a buffet with lots of fresh fruit, fresh grilled vegetables, cheeses and meats, a huge selection of breads and pastries and wonderful fresh juices (cucumber/kiwi, watermelon, pineapple/melon) and a selection of options for every palate (gluten free egg/potato pie, vegetarian tortillas, quinoa, etc.).

Very helpful staff, they recommended many restaurants, shopping, gave us directions, maps, etc. Most staff speak English. The hotel restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful selection of grilled vegetables, cheeses, breads, pastries, eggs, olives, vegan vegetable pies, quinoa, fresh veggie juices, etc. Very nice place, we will go back.

It's very expensive, but easy to locate and get around from. Close to a great restaurant, La Perdiz. The lights in the room can be hard to work with. The pool area is OK.
