“ok”

Overall stay was OK, but nothing amazing. Nice old villa but found it lacking in atmosphere. We actually didn't find the staff very helpful - we were not given any information about either the area & didn't receive any info regarding facilities at the hotel (nor was any booklet in our room), which would have been helpful. So perhaps the Hotel had a lot of things to offer that we didn't know about... Room had character but was very basic in what it offered, & was lacking any of the nice touches I'd expect in a boutique hotel. You will need a car if you stay here.

“Unpleasant experience”

The peninsula and La Brava.
When to go
Late Spring (November - mid December) and March - April have a very pleasant wheather, is not too warm as is not crowded but many shops thta are open in season will close in March. Late December and January is the busiest part of the season and if you like action, noise, crowds and sky high prices for everything this is the time to go.

“I expect to go back”

If I have the chance to go to Punta Del Este again, I would go back to the La Bluette Hotel.

Area recommendations
Playa Mansa, because is very quiet and has a wonderful view.
Other
To be in Punta del Este is to be in Europe.

“Pleasant hotel managed by nice and frendly people”

The hotel is comfortable, clean, and the front desk and hotel employees are very kind and nice. Don't expect luxury, but a neat and pleasant environment. Hotel location may be a problem if you don't have a car and want to go to Punta repeatedly. I enjoyed the stay and would certainly return.

“ready for more freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh bread for breakfast!!!”

I have already recommened this hotel to other friends. it was awesome they got up early for us to fix breakfast the last day when we had to leave. The service was great and the area was very quite and peaceful.. More like a bed and breakfast then a hotel.

Area recommendations
I would recommend eating at el pulpito. Very small family ran restaurant. fabulous customer service and excellent food. We will go back to have another dinner at this restaurant. Punta del este area very nice.
When to go
before april due to weather.
Getting there
Make sure you rent a car in uruagray and don't try to take a rental car from another country they don't allow it.
Getting around
You need a rental car in punta del este
Dining
Eat at el pulpito wonderful fish cooked to perfection and the service is awesome.
Outdoors or beach
Bring a coat and sweater if visiting in april.

“relax at the beach”

Good service in general, beautiful rooms, natural breakfast with fruit & excellent and enjoyable conversation with the friendly owners
