“Central downtown Montevideo Hotel”

Four Points is Sheraton's basic range of hotel. Close to the old central shopping area of Montevideo. Has difficult access for luggage unless you know where the ramp up to the front door is. Sheraton have a timed internet arrangement which is annoying as you can't put the balance of the unused time on hold.

“Good Hotel in the center of Montevideo”

The hotel service, infraestructure is good. Is located in the center of Montevideo.

Area recommendations

For Dining, Mercado, good beefs. Punta del Este, a beach near Montevideo, 2 hours. Casapueblo, the house and atelier of a famous artist of Uruguay, Paez Vilaró.

“Better than expected”

The room was clean and quiet - the staff was excellent in that I spoke very little Spanish and their English was very good. The room service meals were quite good. Much better than expected

Area recommendations

Would not suggest driving in the city to the faint of heart. These people could give New York and Chicago traffic lessons. Meals in the downtown area were excellent

Getting around

Unless you are an Indy 500 Driver or your life insurance is paid up - take the bus or a cab it's safer

“Just a basic hotel”

It is an accommodation, rooms are really nothing special, they are used, need to be refurbished and the old fashion style reminds my of the ugly 80'. Street noise, even on 9th floor, because glass in windows are thin. You can find much nicer hotels closer to the sea. Room service and food good. You pay extra for Wi-fi in room, but speed is ridiculous slow and unstable. Free pc access at crowded internet "island" in reception, and with better speed.

“If I travell again to Montevideo ,I will return to this hotel.”

It is a good hotel ,not luxury ,close to dowtown,several restarant and theater in the nearby ,and the people of the hotel very kind.
