This is a small older hotel that is ideally located for uptown activities - close to central park, the Met, the Guggenheim and other art galleries and excellent restaurants. The rooms are very small. A nice breakfast is served in the lobby which has gotten just a little shabby. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable.
Beautiful hotel that feels intimate even though it is not a boutique hotel. Staff is friendly, knows your name, recognizes you coming and going-- I felt very at home. This was my 4th stay at Loews Regency, and I will keep coming back.
The Bentley Hotel is a nice boutique hotel. Our room and bedding were very good; nice toiletries were delivered regularly; the clean rooms were made daily. The small bar and patio were cute. There were quite a few dining options in the area to accommodate every purse and palate. Particularly if you snap up the room on a discount this hotel is great value compared to some of its cousins closer to "the action". But we wanted some distance between us and the craziness of Broadway/Time Square and the Bentley provided a us with an oasis in the concrete jungle.
This is an ideal place for busy Manhattan area if you are travelling there for work with a reasonable price ( at least for time that I booked it.
It is clean and neat, you have all you may need, staff are very polite, you are at upper east side with 10 minute walk to Metro line 6. I would book this hotel again.
This was a marvelous hotel - beautiful, clean, elegant. The only thing that was wrong is that the cable didn't work, so that when we wanted to watch a movie, we couldn't. They came up to the room three times that night and an engineer came the second day, but no one could get it working - they blamed Time Warner Cable.
I hope they can get this all fixed before long, and it definitely hurt my opinion of the hotel in the long term. They did
offer us a lovely breakfast as an apology, which was very nice, and had the Hotel car take us to a couple of places we would have taken a taxi to.
Hotel is very nice . The only issue is there is a construction site literally rite outside surrounding the area for 4 blocks . They have street closures with no warnings . So parking, traffic, and noise are a big inconvenience .
Of all the superlatives used to describe the Upper East Side, one word is apt: richest. Some of the city’s wealthiest residents live in the high rises that line Fifth Avenue. Be prepared to spend an entire day at the Museum of Metropolitan Art. Both a physical and art-world behemoth, the Met is home to several masterworks, from an intact ancient Nubian temple to post-modern color studies.
