“They were very nice.”
The hotel was fairly nice. It was not exactly easy to find without a GPS. The rooms were snug, but when it is only two people it is ok. The service was wonderful. The restaurant in the hotel is also wonderful, although a little expensive. The amenities were accessible.
“nice comfortable hotel”
A good quality pleasant hotel with the only drawback being that it is not within walking distance of the town centre
“1day stay”
good facilities, great location to have convenient access to zugspitze, I rented a car but public transportation seems available
“Nice Hotel”
Definitly recommend staying here. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Front desk personnel spoke English and were helpful and pleasant. The hotel was a little hard to find. The location however ended up being very good and close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was expensive at the hotel so we skipped it and went to a small bakery/grocery store on the side of the parking lot. The food at the bakery was very good. The Hotel is within walking distance (about 20 minutes) to the Olympic park with the GAP jumps and an additional 20 minute walk to the Gorge. There's a bus stop in front of the bakery that you can use to get anywhere in the city including the train station where you can get to the ski areas and Zugspitz. Staying at the hotel entitles visitors to a free bus pass. Parking was free at the hotel. Getting to the ski slopes and Zugspitz requires tickets. There is free parking for the Zugspitz behind the train station although I could not tell you how to get there because we went into the train station and took the pedestrian walkway. It's very expensive to see the Zugspitz. Enjoy your stay.
“good hotel but a little far from main shopping area and train station”
modern hotel with nice rooms.located some distance from main shopping areas and train station.hotel provided vouchers for free local bus service which stopped right behind the hotel.good coffee and breakfast spot in front of hotel.price was very reasonable but would probably stay closer to the train station/shopping area next time.
“Good Value - - Near Buss Stop”
We stayed two nights and ate once at the restaurant - - very nice dinner, though not a lot of ambiance. Hotel was very pleasant in nice, quiet surroundings with nice indoor pool and sauna. Located a very short walk to town bus stop which is free use for duration of stay once the city tax is paid at the hotel - go out hotel, turn right, and then immediate right down path alongside the property. This comes out on main street at the bus stop. We were able to explore all of Garmish and Partenkirchen. Bus also goes to within a short block of the train station. Hotel had an internet station off the lobby and front desk staff very helpful.
“Great Garmisch location”
Excellent location in a very quaint part of Partenkirchen. Enjoyed the hotel and the surroundings.
“Good location in Garmisch”
Very good location, ample parking, close to shopping. Hotel personnel was very helpful, so helpful that we stayed in three more Mercure Hotels. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
“Helpful staff, good location”
We were very pleased with the hotel, upon checking in at 1am we couldn't have had a warmer welcome and the night receptionist told us everything we needed to know so we were ready to hit the slopes first thing. The hotel is a nice standard, fairly basic room but fitted 4 of us in no problem. Good location if you are in a car, loads of parking.
“Das Hotel liegt im wunderschön Garmisch und Frühstuck war so lecker!!”
Das Hotel kriegt ein 1 Plus von uns. Alles ist so super gelaufen. Wir moechten gere nochmal dahin!
