“Nice, but very overpriced.”

The hotel was nice and the location was excellent, but it wasn't worth the price tag. We have stayed at equally nice hotels in the area at almost half the cost. For what we paid I expected more. Bathrobes to wear down to the pool would have been nice, but you had to pay extra to use these. Had to go outside to get to the pool and in January it's pretty cold so that's an added hassle. The breakfast was good, but this is Bavaria, breakfast in any hotel is going to be good. Overall I would not stay here again because I know I can get much cheaper rates elsewhere and the quality is just as good. That leaves more money for beer and skiing!

Area recommendations

Stay in Garmish, or Grainau as both have plenty of great places to stay and access to the slopes is superb.

When to go

Anytime. It a for seasons area, but I visit in the winter for the skiing.

Getting there

Munich is an hour away by car. Its all Autobahn too so its super simple.

Getting around

Car is convenient but not necessary. German public transport is outstanding. But if you want to get out in the evening then a car is pretty handy.

What to pack

Warm clothes in the winter!

Must see

Zugspitze! Views are fantastic and the snow is perfect for skiing.

“Gute Anbindung zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten: Alpsitze, Zugspitze, Eibsee, Garmisch-Partenkirchen”

Von unseren 5 Übernachtungen waren leider 3 sehr gestört, weil die Lüftung im Bad defekt und daher sehr laut war. Erst nach der dritten Reklamation wurde die Lüftung ganz abgestellt. Das hat den guten Eindruck, den wir ansonsten vom Haus und auch der Küche haben, doch enorm negativ beeinflußt.

“gute Lage nettes Hotel”

Sehr schöe Lage, sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück sowie sehr gutes Abendessen. Schwimmbad ohne extra Gebühr aber die Sauna musste mit euro extra pro person bezahlt werden. das ist für ein 4 Sterne Hotel unangemessen und es war das erstemal in Deutschland überhaupt in dieser Kategorie das man sauna extra zahlen muß dicker minus Punkt. Personal bis auf die Bardame sehr freundlich . Die Bardame zog en 3 Abenden ein Gesicht als wenn jeder Kunde nervt
