Beautiful hotel wish we had more time there
We stayed here for one night but could have stayed a week had we thought about it. The room, more like a suite was a bargain at $199. It had a bedroom that could house 3 a living room, kitchenettes and eating area. From the deck you could see the famed Eagles Nest. Berchtesgaden is centrally located to visit Salzburg, the Eagles Nest and koningsee. The hotel is run by a family as such there was only a window for checking in. They were very friendly and we managed to communicate what we needed. A must stay.

Office staff was very curt. There is a strict time to check in and check out. But overall, we liked this hotel. If we return to this area, we will look for a hotel a little bit closer to town. Like many hotels, there was no air conditioning. But we were traveling during last weeks of september and the weather was cool and we could leave windows open at night.

Very nice bed and breakfast located just outside of the town. Very quiet location with free parking and we-if. Very clean, with a very friendly family running it.

This was most disappointing. Paid 200eu a night and microwave, refrigerator, and stove didn't work. Not even a Kleenex in the room. Worn linens, bed sheet was of a flannel that was very rough on the skin. Hotel was locked up at 6 pm and there were no contact numbers. We felt this was the worst experience we've had in an entire month of traveling Europe. There is minimal parking. No coffee in the room! No elevator even though it was listed on web site. Housekeeping came into our room in spite of us placing a "do not disturb" tag on the door. That, to me, is a major violation. The only deluxe thing about this hotel is the price! At checkout the owner's wife was very indignate and told us to" have a good life", knowing she took advantage.

Wi-Fi code only is good for one device. Parking with a small SUV was tight. Pool was very clean and unexpected. Beds in the family room were not the most comfortable. Had a small kitchen with a refrigerator.. would stay again.

Great Location
A one night stay on a family trip through the Romantic Road of Bavaria. No unexpected surprises. All went as scheduled. Sorry we couldn't stay longer but would definitely recommend. Need a car to drive to the "town" part of Berchtesgaden for dinner or shopping or strolling. We chose this rather than staying in Salzburg which is much more expensive. Great tour to Eagles Nest & Sound of Music from Tourist Info in Berchtesgaden

perfect alpine retreat
This is a wonderful hotel. It is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of travel. The pool was a big bonus. The room was clean and spacious. Our only challenge was finding it.

A very pleasant stay at a nice, clean hotel, a short walk from the center of Berchtesgaden. I would definitely like to stay there again and would recommend others do as well. Only one point to note: after booking, one gets a rather direct email in blunt (borderline rude) English - with lots of CAPITAL LETTERS - outlining the check in procedures at the hotel. This is not a true reflection of the very friendly Familie Plenk, but I would recommend that they rewrite this. It's just a language thing and to an average English/American person, this email may seem a little too stern. (Herr Plenk, I'm happy to help if you wish to email me)

Very professional staff
Our mid-week trip was made even better by the very professional and curious staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and they were more than accommodating for our disability requirements. The indoor pool overlooking the Alps is a very nice touch.

Our room was spacious, with 2 rooms. Staff very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. Kid friendly. Nice pool. Location is great. Near town, and good hiking/running right out the door.

Lovely location and great price was surprised to get email from hotel saying there was no way to check in after 6pm. Fortunately we could get there by 5:30.... Maybe that info was on Internet site and I missed it...nice breakfast also.

Alpenhotel Garni Weiherbach
This hotel was very clean and with spacious rooms, just uphill from Berchtesgaden Altstadt (the walk down to town gives a wonderful bview as you descend). The hotel staff was quite helpful and the breakfast buffet excellent. Our room had balconies on two sides, and the sound of cow bells in the surrounding meadows while we relaxed here after dinner added to the atmosphere. Just uphill from the hotel are specatacular views of the Alps and walking paths: one featured carved scenes from German fairy tales, part of a Fairy Tale Village, which we did not visit. Our only problem was that the early morning sun in May overpowered the curtains..."blackout shades" would have been helpful. Other than this, it was perfect.

I have no objections - everything was excellent. What I booked as a room turned to be a 2 room space with a living room, bathroom and bedroom. Everything was perfectly clean and neat. The breakfast was buffet was excellent - a lot of tasty choices.

Kann man empfehlen
Sehr schöne Frühstückspension. Es war alles sehr sauber und nett eingerichtet. Das Zimmer und das Bad groß und schön. Bequemes Bett, Kopfkissen allerdings zu flach und weich, Zimmer hat sogar Kühlschrank. Frühstück ist ausreichend, normaler Standard, es wird alles nachgefüllt, Kaffee aus Automaten. Was wir toll fanden, es gibt nach dem Frühstücksraum eine Minibar, aus der man sich gegen Gebühr, gekühlte Getränke, Wein, Bier ect. in verschiedenen Sorten, nehmen kann. Man muss es in ein Buch eintragen und dann beim Check out bezahlen. Man kann auch damit im Frühstücksraum sitzen. Den Wellnessbereich haben wir leider nicht genutzt, da wir nur einen Tag da waren, sah aber sehr schön aus. Das Hotel liegt ruhig, man hört nur den Bach. Einfach zu erreichen, sehr nah zur Stadt, genügend Parkplätze, sehr freundliche Besitzer.

Check-in until 6 p.m. is a no-go, especially when you come after work on a Friday. This info about the check-in was not known at the time of the booking, only afterwards when the booking was made non-refundable. Cold water in the pool and the sauna was only open 2 hours a day for free. They charge taxes for the bathrobe.

차량을 이용하신다면 추천드립니다.
시티와 도보 20분 가량 걸려서 가깝지는 않지만, 차량을 이용했기 때문에 불편함을 못 느꼈습니다. 창을 열면 상쾌한 공기를 맘껏 들이 마실 수 있고, 테라스에서 맥주 한 잔을 할 수 있는 여유도 있었답니다. 다만, 조식은 단조로운 메뉴로 실망스러웠습니다.

简单舒适
位置在小镇中心的后山区域，不算太便利，抄小道走路步行单程得15分钟，但因此可以慢慢欣赏不同角度的美景，和牛奶草场，也挺赏心悦目的。可以坐公交车在店前车站，不过公交车一小时一班次非常不便利。 店内环境简单优雅还可以，小阳台非常好哈，每天迎着傍晚太阳晚餐和红酒看书闲聊。

Ha, ha, ha .....es steht überall das es im Hotel nur Übernachtung und Frühstück gibt, Die Ortsmitte zu vielen Restaurants ist nur 10-15 Gehminuten entfernt. Es wäre doch besser das man auch liest was man bucht. Viele Stammgäste die jedes Jahr 1 - 2 mal im Jahr kommen, schätzten das gute Frühstück und die zentrale Lage zur Ortsmitte.

Die Zimmerausstattung war sehr gut. Das Hallenbad hervorragend. Das Frühstücksbufett war ausreichend, aber die Erwartungshaltung bei der Bewerbung als "Schlemmerfrühstück" konnte es nicht standhalten. Das Obst war leider aus der Dose, der Rest Standard. Die Parkplätze am Haus waren sehr eng und beschränkt.
