This hotel is ultra modern, but located right in the middle of and old charming neighborhood. You enter through what seems like a secret tunnel off a tiny street. It has and indoor and outdoor pool and the room I stayed in was spacious for 4 with a bedroom and living room with 2 actual beds that are made up as sofas rather then the other way around, the kitchen was very useful and the included breakfast was a big plus. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the center of town, food markets, and restaurants. We had a rental car and did not need it to go out to dinner. Another great feature if you have a car is the off street free parking, stress free! If I came back to the Azores, I would definitely stay here for the city and then a few nights at someplace in the countryside.
Stayed 1 night but staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Staff even had a restaurant owner come from a neighbouring town to pick us up for dinner and returned us back after our meal.
As we were late getting to the hotel it was nice to have staff on the reception desk 24/7.The reception desk staff were excellent. The airline lost a piece of our luggage and the reception staff rang the airline for me and helped to get my suitcase back, her name was Dilsa and I couldn't thank her enough.
We also had help to check in for our flight home and to print off our boarding cards. We were struggling with the language on the computer and after several failed attempts on the foyer computer the receptionist took over and sorted it all out for us.she was very patient with us ,I don't know her name but she wore glasses too.
The breakfasts were good.A lovely selection of fresh bread and food to satisfy all tastes.
The room was kept clean and the hotel too.
My only criticism was a lack of tea/coffee making facilities in our room.
We hope to return to your hotel next year ,we liked the balcony attatched to our room and we hope that if we book early next year we may get a front facing one.

We only stayed one night and left very early in the morning to take a plane to Flores. The staff was very accommodating in that they planned that the breakfast be ready very early so that we could eat before leaving to the airport. They also made sure the taxi arrived on time. Well located close to the Marina.
