"Nice surprise"
We got a good deal on the hotel, but wondered what the catch might be. Turns out there wasn't one. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff and good location. Recommended

"Great West End hotel"
My husband, 10 year old son stayed in room 4 for one night. The hotel is in a great location for excellent bars, restaurants and the Botanical Gardens. We visit relatives in Glasgow and these days go for character hotels instead of chains. This hotel is great value for money, Gordon the Manager is outstanding in his great customer care and the accomodation was very comfortable. I do not think I have ever slept in a room with such a high ceiling! A great experience and we will be returning.

"Clean but noisy room, no allocated car parking"
The hotel is conveniently located for walking in c15min into Glasgow city centre. It was disappointing that there was no allocated car parking. The nearest free car parking was a 5min walk away; however, it is road-side parking and at the time of my visit I was very lucky to find a free space. The staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful. We had a room in the basement which was clean if a bit noisy. The insulation between the rooms could be improved and the nice historic single-glazed sashes are in need of draught-proofing (which can be easily fitted), as it was quite noisy along the road. Overall I would recommend the hotel, depending on your travel arrangements. The room was good value for money.

"Nice hotel close to the Kelvin grove museum"
The only drawback using the Guest house is you have to go across the road for your breakfast into the Argyll hotel

"Perfect experience."
From the first moment of the easy booking with Expedia to the friendly, helpful, really lovely hotel receptionist, this was a perfect experience. Upon arriving the room looked comfortable and welcoming. The room and bathroom were very clean. I thought the coconut soap dispensers on both the shower wall and wash hand basin wall were such a good idea. The room had everything you would need for a stay. They'd thought of everything. I would visit the hotel again in a heartbeat. Perfect everything.

"Visiting family"
We were delighted to be shown a ground floor room in the adjacent building. The room has three adult single beds of good quality. Although there was no central heating this was more than compensated for by the provision of radiators. The large room would have beenn ideal if we have wanted to spend time there and the views are picturesque being just behind the Botanic Gardens, handy for the city centre and accessing the beautiful areas beyond Glagow for days out. The breakfast was ideal and the ladies we met on check in and at breakfast were friendly and helpful. The parking was plentiful and I understand there was more round the back but we were delayed in arriving. This did not cause the hotel a problem. We will choose to stay either here or in the adjacent appartments on future visits. Thank you

"A clean, comfortable hotel in a great location."
Stayed here for ten days while visiting Glasgow and using it as a base for day trips around Scotland by train. I had a single room which was cozy but had all of the amenities I needed to make it a really comfortable stay. Breakfast every morning was great to give my day a good start. The Subway stop is a few minutes walk and whisked me to the city centre or train station in 6 minutes. The area where the hotel is located is close to the University of Glasgow, Art Gallery and Museum and the large and beautiful Kelvingrove Park. Hosts, Marlene, Dianne and the rest of the staff made this hotel the perfect home away from home for me and contributed to one of the best trips I have ever had.
