We booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed. It was ideal for visiting Universal Studios, but the rest of LA was easily accessible using the bus and Metro systems. The hotel was clean and staff were all friendly and approachable. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at during a tour of California and head and shoulders above the Hilton Anaheim where we also stayed.
We were so pleasantly surprised to come back to the hotel room on the first day and find a complimentary bottle of Champaign and Chocolate Covered Strawberries along with a "Happy Anniversary" Card signed by the staff. Very nice personal touch. Not even sure how they found out about the anniversary.
I stayed at the Courtyard studio City eight nights during the annual General Hospital fan events; this was my seventh consecutive year here. The staff is polite and always ready to help. The pool is a nice touch. The general area is safe, even at night. Several great restaurants nearby, along with Ralph's Market and the deli. Studio city courtyard is always my #1 choice for GHFCW.

I spent 2 nights there with my family and picked this hotel for its close proximity to Universal Studio, which is within walking distance but with kids and we planned to stay at the park until late at night we decided to drive. That only takes about a minute, which tells you how close it is. This is a small cozy motel with only about 10 rooms. The motel looks like it was recently renovated and my room features updated amenities. I especially like that fact that EACH room has its own carport, so you literally park your car in a covered car port right next to your room - you can actually see it in the pictures on Expedia. The manager Robert said the hotel was originally built in the 30s with that design and I love it!
Robert is super nice! I didn't check into the hotel until around 10 p.m, he tried to call me earlier in the day to ensure everything was ok. It's supposed to be a two-Queen bed room but in that room one of them is just a full size, and I guess it's because they need to spare enough room for the wheelchair access. Robert was concerned whether we could sleep 4 in those 2 beds, and it worked out ok for my family. But he offered to switch us to another room the next morning, but I said it's fine as we didn't want to move our stuff again.
Breakfast was great with eggs, pastry, juice, coffee, bread. Overall experience is wonderful, and I definitely recommend this motel to anyone.
