"Great hotel, fantastic location"
Looked and booked online. Never know what you are going to get but we were very pleased. After a long flight (13 hours) we arrived before check in time but the hotel was very accommodating. Secured our bags, had a lovely cold refreshing drink available, and were able to direct us to a nice relaxing eatery. The position in Union Square was ideal, close to lots of great restaurants. The staff were very helpful, and the pool was an added bonus. Would highly recommend.

"Friends Wedding in town"
Visited town for a friends wedding so needed to spend 3 days in total catching up and also seeing San Francisco for the 1st time. Found Hotel G online and loved the website, and general feel of the Hotel. Was very much surprised at the outstanding location - just 1 minute to Union square. Rooms are brand new (refurbed) and really like the modern approach to the design with the amenities more than most established 5 star hotels in the area. The highlight was the service team from engineering to front desk to Hotel Manager after we left the hotel and arrived home. Accommodating, friendly, and felt like coming back home when we arrive back. Reasonably knowledgeable of the local area

Great hotel. Kind of close to Turk and Taylor- if you're from SF you know what that means- but a convenient location nonetheless and quiet.

"Nice hotel in a good location"
The hotel is just of Union Square and the road it is on leads straight through to Nob Hill and Fishermen's Wharf while Chinatown and the Theatre District are also close by. Therefore everything is in walking distance so long as you can cope with hills, but this is true wherever you are in downtown San Francisco. While not as grand as some hotels I actually prefer these smaller hotels and although the décor is a bit run down it adds to the charm. There is a good bar built into the hotel which has a range of micro brews and also some good food. There is a gym but after hill walking all day there seemed little need to check it out. The room is spacious enough for a city centre hotel with all the facilities you need - with the exception of coffee making facilities in the room.

"The Nikko is in an excellent Hotel"
The Hotel Nikko is in an excellent location, the staff were extremely helpful, and the room was well equipped and very comfortable. I was especially happy about the Valet service and door men. I was able to get my car out quickly a couple of times a day, and they always referred to me by name. I was very impressed with the service. When I called the front desk asking if there was a store in the hotel to buy toothpaste, they said they would bring up some at no charge; and it arrived within 5 minutes! The only area that I think could improve; the conference room was too cold several times, and the coffee and hot water ran out quickly without replacement (I realized later that it would have been extra charge for my group to have unlimited supply of these items, but, Really? Is it that expensive for the hotel to just provide this? Most of us also stayed in the hotel, and purchased many extras; dinners, etc) I think this is an area that could use improvement. Otherwise, great experience. Cindy
