"Fantastic hotel! Was like finding a hidden gem."
My flight was cancelled due to the East Coast blizzard but I couldn't stay at the hotel I was originally booked at because they sold out. Found Hotel Vertigo on Expedia and gave it a try. BOY WHAT A FIND! It's a really cute boutique hotel with such a fun and funky decor. The rooms are not large (I had a queen deluxe) but they're perfectly cozy and large enough. The place was VERY clean (I hate seeing hair and whatnot from other people - none of that here). It was very quiet (they were at 50% vacancy when I stayed). The staff is the best. Very accommodating and helpful. The location is PERFECT. Within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Union Square. Loved it.

"Loved the hotel"
Everything from the moment we entered to when we left we loved the place. I stayed for 3 nights with my wife and we not only liked the facilities and staff but also the location. Its amazingly well located near the first cable car line from Market Street and many restaurants. Union Square is just two blocks away. Many people complaint about homeless and begging people around, but thats not inherent to the hotel, but to San Francisco. Also, thank you Expedia for the room upgrade as a +gold rewards member.

"Great location in the heart of downtown"
A fun little hotel with a personality. Rooms were a little dark but clean. My friends and I didn't really stay inside too much to know the amenities, but there was a theatre in the building and it could be great if you enjoy theatre. The staff was very polite and courteous. Sheets and towels were clean, hairdryer and tv worked fine. The bed was a little too soft for me peraonally but I slept fine. The main reason I picked this was its proximity to transportation, cafes and food. Overall a great value for the deal I got through expedia.

"Amazing stay with an awesome room!"
Stayed on a Saturday and Sunday. Checked out Monday morning. The original room we got was very small. Just a standard room. We asked to be moved and gave us a suite for an extra $30 extra a night. Didn't care to much to pay more but it was so,so, so worth it! Room was huge, had a pull out couch. Small office, which was perfect since my girlfriend had to do some online homework. Location was perfect, staff was great. They even gave my gf a complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolates and snacks for her bday! Starbucks right next door. View of street with balcony was fun to drink and peolpe watch. My only real complaint would be the bed was a bit "springy" but it was still ok to crash on from a fun drunken night. Thanks Diva.
