I spent a week in Bogota visiting friends and for my last night I decided to book a room at the newly opened W Bogota Hotel. I was not disappointed. The entrance to the hotel is unassuming and difficult to find. However, the common spaces while dimly lit are comfortable and well designed. I stayed in a suite which was beautifully designed and comfortable. The room was immaculate and the staff were over the top friendly and helpful. I ordered room service for breakfast and the food was excellent, freshly prepared and piping hot when it arrived to my room. I will return to Bogota again and will stay at the W.

The hotel was under some remodelation, but it was not an issue at all as we didn’t hear or were bothered by the constructor workers. We did order a very late room service as our flight landed late and had no chance to eat before. We were very surprised to find a very comprehensive menu for a very good price.
Everything else was just as you would expect at a very good hotel.

I arrived around midnight of the first night of my stay. The check-in went smoothly, and they even offered me an upgrade, which I would have definitely liked to have used, but since I traveled solo, it wasn't necessary.
The room was much larger than I thought it would be. In addition to the furnishings on the first floor (of the apartment), there's spare furnishings on a second level, in case you have company. Upstairs includes a second bathroom.
The refrigerator was well stocked. As usual, the prices for these items are higher; I look at it as more of a convenience fee. Though my own requirements were very low, whenever I needed anything, I used the (small) grocery store across the street, and, for liquor, I went down the street on the other side of the mall to a small place next to Yogaspace and an Italian restaurant (carrera 11D; you need to try this restaurant, by the way...).
The bed was comfortable for me; I never had a bad night's sleep. At no time did I feel disturbed in this hotel. Management makes an effort to ensure it. If you happen to hang out on the balcony, I think you'll see that the staff performs security checks at random times throughout the day, but, I can't confirm that.
The check-out process went smooth, as well. Keep in mind that, for the apartments, there's a security charge. I didn't ask, but, I _assumed_ that this was "security" as in "well-being" and not the use of the security box inside of the room. I didn't complain.

"Incredible staff. Hard pillows. Loud noise outside"
The people working at this hotel will make you feel truly special. Great breakfast setup with juices and omelettes. The condition of the hotel is very nice in the room set up, especially the sweets, is very comfortable. The pillows were quite hard. And the noise outside was tremendous. This can likely be attributed to little large city street noise but windows didnt do much to stop it. Other than that this was a great stay!

In general, we did enjoy our stay as much as the first time a year ago. The staff are friendly and most cooperative.
We did not have such luck with the restaurant meals we ordered. We spoke with the chef and told him about our concerns. The meat dish was tough for a first class "solomillo", normally a very tender steak. The baby octopi in my seafood stew were also as tough as cardboard. The wine sauce for both dishes was, on the other hand, excellent. Choice of wines for the meals very limited.
