We actually reached the hotel at around 11 pm. But I had informed them well in advance. Inspite of that one of the rooms ( I had booked 2 rooms) had a malfunctioning AC. otherwise rooms were ok. The breakfast area was cramped, spread wasn't great and they took a long time to refill. One of the worst areas was the swimming pool. The water was turbid and the changing room was very dirty. I strongly recommend not to use the swimming pool.

Should be rated as a definite 6 star hotel. Faultless . Best pool ever. Horizon room was so luxurious and comfortable to say the very least. Staff really make this hotel perfect. Their friendliness, service, thoughtfulness was beyond and above what duty calls for. Special thank you to Surendra, Naseem, Rohit and Siddhartha at the pool. Sid, you are a very special person. The hotel had a taxi meet us at the Udaipur train station at 9:30 p.m. The taxi was there with our name placard ($11.00).
The service, food, and room was perfect. Really, deluxe. They also let us stay 8 extra hours on check out day for a half day charge. You really need 3 nights in Udaipur.
We had a wonderful stay here-- The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Udaipur. The location in the hills of Udaipur is perfect-- easy access to the city, without the noise and chaos of one of the Lake Pichola hotels. Our favorite experience in India.
This hotel is lovely, well situated, quiet and has a lovely view. Easy walk to City Palace and shopping across a footbridge over the lake. Service was good, and room was quaint and beautifully decorated. Bath was modern and shower worked well. Good hot water. Enjoyed the swimming pool but would have liked cushions in metal chairs which were not available because we were told this was not "the season". Also the kitchen had limited staffing and menu due to it being May, 'not the season'. We would have appreciated knowing ahead of arrival that we would need to take most meals outside the hotel, and we were there in May when it was rather hot. When we voiced any complaints about these things, the management assured us this would be put on the website for future travellers, and they did their best to see to our comforts. We did have good breakfasts with a lovely view of the lake and city in early mornings. The rooftop restaurant is partly enclosed and roofed and partly open parapet so the sun began to be too hot early in the day, but breakfast at 7 am was perfect for sunrise. I would stay at this hotel again due to the location, good service, and ambiance.
