We had a refreshing and relaxing experience at the Maya Ubud. This hotel is a piece of paradise just a short distance from the Ubud village. The hotel is right between rice fields and a beautiful river valley. The food was excellent, the beds are comfortable, our villa was nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are kept in good condition. The fitness club is modern, and the pools are beautiful. We also took advantage of the spa facilities, and the massage treatment and staff were excellent. As vegetarians we found good food choices, and the hotel also has fire dances on the weekends which was a nice surprise for us when we arrived on Saturday evening after a full day of travel.
Overall I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. My only note of caution to people is that the villas are right beside the forest, so be aware that there will be insects in the room, so if you are squeamish about bugs, you might want to stay in the main hotel. Also note, that this hotel is better suited for couples of families with older children

Wonderful hotel with great facilities, such friendly helpful staff, delicious food. Couldn't fault anything.
Just a short 10 minute taxi ride into Ubud central or catch the free hotel shuttle bus every hour.
The Lokha Ubud Resort & Spa exceeded all of our expectations! Friendly staff who could not do enough for us, excellent, comfortable rooms (including a large tub!!) with an amazing view. The infinity pool is perfect for the hot days. Far enough out of beautiful Ubud to achieve serenity, yet only a 20 minutes walk through spectacular country side to the fantastic township of Ubud with its shopping and amazing cuisine. A new player in the competative resort market, but one that already stands tall. Highly recommended. Will definately stay at The Lokha Ubud on future trips.
Ubud is a must see art of Bali and this hotel, although a little out of the centre, is perfect. Rice paddies and beautiful friendly staff make this a wonderful second home. We didn't even notice there was no TV in the room till we left! So much to see and do, it is not needed.

Incredible from the moment we arrived. Staff continually thought of creative ways to make our stay better e.g. when they heard we were off for a day trip, they proactively (without prompting) made us a picnic to take with us. Staff were always trying to think of what we might want next... which typically involved another fresh juice whilst lying by the pool! Private dinner they organised for my wife and I in the gardens was spectacular. Spa treatments were excellent. Can not speak highly enough of this resort.

My husband and I had two nights in UBud Padi Villa's. Waking up to the most amazing view on the first morning, watching the sun rise across the paddy fields. The staff were the most attentive we have experienced over our three plus week vacation. Would recommend to all, only down side was we wished we had stayed longer!!
The Payogan Villa Resort was amazing. The location is just so beautiful and quiet. The Pool villas are superb with huge amounts of space & lovely views. The staff are all beautiful people and can not do enough for you. I will definitely stay again.
2 nights in Ubud seem too short when you stay at Plataran. A fabulous hotel that's worth every single dollar! Beautiful lobby, polite staff and mind-blowing views of the paddy fields from both their swimming pools. The room was clean and very well furnished - sexy bathroom as well! Nic, the hotel manager deserves extra credit. We couldn't get a single scooter as it was peak season. Nic took us in his car and went looking for a friend who runs a scooter rental company - all this at 8pm when he could've easily said wasn't his duty time anymore. We were given a personal scooter and even offered a tour around his beautiful house to get the Balinese feel. Location of the hotel is strategic - close by to local attractions. Stay here if you're in Ubud - no regrets!
