A decent clean quiet place to stay over if traveling between Queenstown and Christchurch. The old town district and waterfront are very nice.

Our stay was pleasant enough for the two nights we stayed. It was a convenient location to be able to explore the Mt Cook region. Close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Good to stay here.
We love the place. Although the room is budget double room (smallest room type) but a room equipped with kitchen and clean. The location is not far away from many restaurant.

Stayed October 2023. Basic accommodation, basic facilities, everything looks tired and worn out in need of an update. TV seemed to still be analogue only picking up two channels, a bit odd. Staff were fine, provided extra blankets and hot plate, but might consider making that standard in the rooms. Twizel itself is not a great place, it's not even that near Mt. Cook, the only real attraction in the area, not an attractive town in itself with limited amenities and odd characters wandering round the streets making it seem unsafe.

Nice quiet spacious separate chalet. Was a little dated but quite clean. Our only gripe was our room was cold. The little heat inverter couldn’t pump out enough heat to get the room warm. Fortunately they also provide electric heated blanket on bed so we slept ok.

This is not a fancy motel, but it is nice, and clean, and the view outside is spectacular. The managers are super helpful and kind! We enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately unit 6 the bathroom extract fan didnt work along with the bathroom heater. The 2 beds up in the loft which had bed lights over them worked but were broken. it was interesting that you had to walk in the darkness to turn these lights on as there was no switch or centre light upstairs. No milk left in fridge for hot drink in the morning.

Close to town, clean, staff lovely, unfortunately needs a massive renovation, bathroom vanity water swollen, shower needs work and the water sprays to the ceiling, bed hard and kitchen tap is loose. It would be a lovely place if it was done up.

Given the glowing reviews of service before, I suspect management has changed hands. Service is poor. 1) check out is by 1000 and one is charged every 30 mins for late checkout. Office states open 830-8pm. No one there at 0940, door locked, several of us roaming around trying to figure out how to turn in keys. No drop box. Buzzer for emergency only. Phone calls go to voicemail. We left a message leaving the key in cabin on table. 2) phone call outgoing message is "hello, leave a message". Is this the right number?? Cant tell. They need to have a professional voicemail noting their venue name. 3) they charged me twice for one night stay. Attempts to call ended up w the non discript voicemail. Next contacted Hotels.com. i got chatbot, who sent me to a chat agent, this was accidentally dropped call. Back in queue to bot, agent, then had to call customer service. They called hotel twice with no answer. Boosted up to next level of customer service and call dropped. Attempts to call wont go thru. Issue not resolved yet. I am in a remote area of New Zealand and will need to wait to make more phone calls. The cabin itself was very clean. AC worked well to cool down the warm afternoon space. Kitchenette satisfactory. Light above bathroom sink is out, cant tell them bc no one at reception and they dont answer calls or have an email. Be cautious due to service issues.
