I booked this hotel for 2 nights: very comfy bed (although on the soft side), big room, strong water pressure. In room dining is expensive for what you get but that's always the case, isn't it? Staff is good but had to ask for clean towels twice (cleaning lady didn't leave any): this is a good 4 star hotel but not a 5 star by Western European standards. Location is great: 20mins walk to the Red Sq, 3-4 mins to the nearest metro station.
We were met by very friendly staff. As always, the Intercontinental was spotless and clean. Breakfast was great with a daily variety. It was super nice to come home after a long days walk and enter a clean room. Showers are great. Hotel staff were very helpful with excursions every day, they printed all the info we needed in english and wrote the russian word next to it. Great staff, great hotel, great location!
The Pushkin Hotel is wonderfully placed, with a very slow 20 minute walk to Red Square, 15 mins to the Bolshoi and very close to Yeliseevskiy Gastronom and the Main shopping drag as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Contemporary History, Hermitage Gardens and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. There are 2 Metro stations close by and the streets are safe. Location is therefore excellent and the hotel is exceptional value for money.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, room spacious, the beds are super comfortable and the amenities are good, although if you want to watch tv in English you will have to settle for news and discussion programmes. We ate at the hotel throughout our stay and the food was cheap and excellent in quality. The service was impeccable too. I don't understand why this hotel isn't listed on the Trip Adviser Moscow App....it is really very good indeed.
My primary thanks go to the amazing receptionist who not only seemed to work tirelessly 24/7, but found time independently to organise a card and gift for my partner's 50th birthday. We were overwhelmed by this gesture and thank you unreservedly. This member of staff went above and beyond the call of duty and really enhanced our experience; he also gave us excellent advice, chatted warmly, translated and booked a cheap taxi to the airport for us.
When I return to Moscow I will book the hotel Pushkin without a moment's thought and I would recommend others to do so too - brilliant experience.
We were taking 2 rooms at Sheraton at the end of July.
By far, that was the best Sheraton I ever stayed. Centrally located , close to all public transportation and not too far from major airports. Hotel has its own car service , a little bit more expensive than taxi, but very convenient. They can take you to and from anywhere. We took it for theaters and airports trips. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, good quality WiFi ( free). Right across the street- good food store and Starbucks.
Hotel has very professional staff: Anna and Lyubov at reception , Lyudmila and Elena on concierge desk. All other workers being also very helpful. The cost of the stay was reasonable, having in mind location and services.
Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
This is a reasoably good hotel, very close to the express train to Sheremetyevo, to the metro and having easy access to the city center. The area is pretty nice. The hotel itself is old-fashioned. Rooms and staff are ok, but nothing special.
Upmarket area of Moscow centred around the bustling Pushkinskaya, where a statue of the poet Alexander Pushkin overlooks the square filled with benches, flowerbeds, and fountains. Tverskaya Street offers exclusive shopping, as well as being a central part of Moscow’s nightlife. The area is also home to the Tverskoy Boulevard, lined with museums, theatres. and galleries.
