“Good Hotel near Porta Nuova”
Thia is a 4-star hotel that is located very close from Porta Nuova. Quality of hotel service is very good and the room condition is satisfactory. However, you have to pay for the internet use.
“Good value for location, will go back.”
Visited Torino for a conference held at the Lingotto conference center. While the hotel is nowhere near the conference center, it is across the street from the main train station and metro station, making it extremely convenient. Neighborhood is very sketchy if you walk South of the hotel. However, once you walk North you find yourself in central Torino which is truly amazing. The hotel is clean. I stayed in two different rooms, one was very big (stayed alone) and the other one smaller, but I went there to stroll and work, not to stay in my hotel walking in the room... Room has mini-bar, TV with nice selection of Italian channels, Spanish channels and CNN, safe, closet, desk, and enough outlets (220V) for electronic gear. Wifi available but you have to pay the week rate to make it worthwhile. Staff is friendly and most speak English. Would stay there again.
“Wedding break in Turino”
Good location, good rates, a bit doggy area.
“Not impressed”
Hotel is not worth 4 stars at all: no slippers and bath-robes, jacuzzi was not working, breakfast is overpriced (20 Euro per person) if price, quality and selection of food and beverages compared. We have to stay 2 nights and later 1 more night, impessions after first stay were to change thehotel for the last one night. Location is pretty good, not far away from city centre and shopping area. Do not be afraid of the rail-road station at the opposite side of the street as it causes no inconvinience.
“Good value and location”
The Mercure is across from the main railroad station and exceedingly central but it is not noisy. Our room was large, impeccably clean, and the breakfast buffet (which was not included, despite our belief to the contrary) was good; note that Italians don't eat big breakfasts. The hotel is unassuming from the outside and the facade belies the luxury found inside. We recommend this hotel and would likely return.
“Wonderful value!”
My wife and I stayed at the Mercure on Oct 17th '09. We arrived by train and easily walked with our bags to the Hotel which is right around the corner. The staff was polite and friendly. The hotel is crisply clean and quiet in spite of the busy street outside. Our room was medium small but had all the amenities a traveller could need . At 4:45 In the morning, the hotel had a cab waiting for our trip to the airport. All of Turin's sites are within walking distance of the Mercure for anyone in reasonable shape. The neighborhood at night is busy and has the occasional tipsy locals hanging out on the corners, but well -to- do pedestrians were out in force. If we go back to Turin I know we'll be staying at the Mercure.
“Great hotel and amazing deal”
This hotel is one of the best deals I have ever had. The rooms are clean, well maintained and well proportioned. The hotel is in a good location, and while there two blocks walk through a slightly seedy area to get to the center, the area is lively and hence not dangerous (this Europe, not the US). The staff is helpful and friendly. And the prices are very, very reasonable. Perfect for a business or leisure trip where you want a four star hotel, but perhaps wouldn't usually be able to afford one.
“just fine”
fine hotel, good service, noisy environment,
“very pleasant stay”
close to porta nuova station room equpiied and comfortable, air conditioning didnt seem to work but it wasnt required bathroom was clean and tidy. breakfast wasnt included and was rather expensive. hotel staff were polite and spoke english well enough. they have a sign to hang on your door if you would like breakfast in your room, i did this but recieved no breakfast so that was dissapointing. there are prostitutes in the area however i was not approached. all in all, moderately satisfying
“Very nice hotel”
Great hotel and great location - close to train station & bus stop, and walking distance to city center.

Porta Nuova Station, Turin, Italy: Turin's main train station is the Porta Nuova Station, built in the 1860s. Designed by Alessandro Mazzucchetti it was modelled on Kings Cross in London and consisted of an arrivals hall and a departures hall separated by a hall with a semicircular roof. The early 20th century saw many changes to the station and the interior has since been completely restructured, although the façade remains.
