“lovely view of the lake, elegant lounge”

very lovely, helpful staff, clean, beautiful, elegant. only one improvement would be a lock on the sliding door to the balcony.

i'd try something closer to the medina, otherwise you need a car or taxi

“Tunis Hotel”

This was a fantastic hotel to stay in. It was a splurge for us and way more expensive than the resort hotels but it was definitely 5*. Very clean and friendly staff, the beds and pillows were so comfortable and if you have a lake views it makes it even more amazing. My only 2 issues with the hotel is the smoking in the lobby bar...its overwhelming and should not be permitted. The dinner buffet was $40 but not worth the money if I have to compare to some of the buffets in the resort towns its comparable, there's not more exciting and worth $40 on this buffet compared to what you get at the resorts. Its located close to the airport but we heard no planes so it was nice and quiet from that perspective. A taxi ride to the center can be anywehre from 5-8TDN depending on traffic.

“I might go back”

the hotel was good in general, some small cleanness issues was raised but the room was comfortable. I liked room service employee , they were extremely polite, kind and helpfull.

“Good Hotel”

Everything was good and rooms were clean but it was a bit noisyat night for a couple of days due to wedding parties. Breakfast could also be improved.

“A good quiet hotel for business travelers.”

It is a nice hotel with helpful and polite staff. Internet connection is good and the rest of the business services are acceptable. However avoid Saturday nights if you can in the summer, as weddings are often organized and they are loud.

Area recommendations

Berges du Lac 1, if you are not in Tunis just to get the local color. Very European, very clean, very quiet and with an excellent walking/jogging area on the side of the lake.

Getting around

Ask at your hotel reception to provide you with a taxi for a day or two. They taxi drivers are in general friendly and helpful and will take you around anywhere you want. Driving is also ok but needs extra attention, though nothing as dramatic as the rest of the middle east.

“Nice hotel poorly managed”

The hotel booked us into the wrong room, a cheaper one than we paid for. They didn't provide a cot until almost demanded even though they knew we were coming with a 1 year old. The cot provided was broken and smelled of vomit. We were charged for breakfast although it was supposed to be complimentary and also they tried to charge us for using the mini bar although we never touched it. I would never recemmond this hotel to anyone. Paid a high price for a quality hotel. We did not recieve the quality at all

Area recommendations

City Centre. If you don't need to go to Tunis at all stay in Sousse. Its much nicer, friendlier and cheaper

“Traveler2010”

It's a good hotel - close to the airport, close to La Marsa, Sidi Bou Said and Carthage too. And it's certainly within striking distance to Tunis. They are a professional lot by and large. Some front deskers speak English; others not so much but they are very accommodating. Good spa too. I would return and highly recommend it.

Traveller's tip

Carthage is pretty interesting - find Villa Didon (post-ruins perusing) - for a cocktail or dinner overlooking the Gulf of Tunis. Just like Hannibal did.

Très bon état général sauf la literie, restaurant d'une très mauvaise qualité, lit ne correspondant pas à la demande (2 lits simples au lieu d'un lit double), la literie était vieille et défoncée. rapport qualité prix moyen
